I had crayfish as pets . I did not want to go with the boring fish in a fish tank So I got 3 crayfish a sucker fish ( to clean the tank ) and food for them . And sometimes I would get feeder fish for them to hunt and eat to make it fun to watch ! But if a crayfish sheds its outer hard shell the other crayfish will attack and eat its own kind !

@myskateworld crayfish need hiding places, they hate bright light and are nightime creatures, black or dark gravel would be best for crayfish and with all fish they need water conditioner to get out chlorine and stuff from the tap water, some crayfish get very big, bigger than your arm (blue marron crayfish) but this crayfish will grow to about 20cm, not including the feelers or claws

I had a pet crayfish for about 3 years. It was a female and we fed her on meat, fish and cat biscuits. She had fish to keep her company when we first got her but after about 2 hours she had eaten them all. When I put the TV on she would come to the front of the tank and stand on her back legs as she liked the light. We had to feed her on long tweezers as she was very vicious. She shed her shell 3 times while we had her which was amazing. She died quietly one day and we buried her in a small box.

wow man, that looks like a big spot with fungus. I can't really tell but if it's that you may isolate the crayfish and use Methylene blue. Fish often has 10% to survive this procedure.

you can also try putting in a 4-6 table spoons of aquarium salt, salt is natures cure, i ususally use this when introducing fish into a tank, it takes care of ick, wounds and anyother kinda diseases and all your fish remain healthy

Crayfish are scavengers; they will eat anything that they can reach. Cichlids are very violent and dominant fish. I would not advice to have these two kinds together.
