Son of a bitch! Behe and this stupid flagellum idea. Anyone see the Dover trial? The flagellum was pwnd in open court,by a fundamentalist judge appointed by none other then George W Bush. Look up the nova episode "the dover trial" its on my channel.

@GorbixElite01 can't remember which of the 4 parts it's in, but the Dover trial is covered quite extensively, including an interview with Ken Miller. I also think the Behe cllip is quite dated, this documentary being, as it was, a kind of summing up of the progress of the argument using archive footage. That said - Behe is an ass hat. I can't help but feel a little sorry for him though. He gets absolutely shafted every time he opens his mouth, or worse still, one of his books.

One thing that I don't hear enough about the bacteria flagellum being intelligently designed is that, it's meant to kill us. Why is this designer plaguing us? It is then left to evolution to to vary our genes so that what ever organism can survive such an attack will thrive and reproduce. It seems the designer isn't satified by sending us sinners to hell, so he would like to torture most of us in the here and now.
