whats ur settings on ur amp??? i just got one of these the other day and i use pedals for overdrives and distortion and the tones are so bright it hurts my ears, i turned the bright switch off and everything...
Good job of showing some of the sounds of this LOUD amp. I had the 4x10 version and never could play above two. if I did the rest of the band complained!! I wound it up to about 7 one day on my own and the sheer power and volume nearly mad me throw up!!! I ended upo selling it and getting a 40 watt Hotrod celuxe which is samaller/lighter and also has great tone, but I really regret getting rid of this baby because I've since learnt how to use the master volume to get great tone at lower volume.
I heard from my friend that anything beyond 6 could smash a window. I know for a fact that anything over 4 seriously contributes to hearing loss. I have the 2 by 12 version though so there may be a slight different. Certainly a great amp. Without spending 4 grand I don't think I could get anything I like better.
@Mrk2453 please tell?? i have a 410 and struggle with its loudness, and same.... its never been passed 2-3!! it leaves me with a banging head even at that!!!!
I hear you, no pun intended!! It was a while ago that I had the Deville and it was only after I had traded it in on a line 6 that a bloke walked into the shop while I was there and plugged into it and got bitchin' tone at lower volume. He got the sound by EQing the amp to different settings and then turning one volume up whilst turning the master down - or the other way round -can't remember now. I got a deluxe and a Blackstar HT60 now- the blackstar is UNREAL -great tone.
This amp Sounds amazing. The Clean Channel and The Dirty Channel Are both Great. And I really love the High Gain sounds you can Get out of it With that Satchurator.
PLEASE do you remember what chord you were playing when you were just messin around at the begging of the video, i would be extremely grateful if you could just give me the slightest hint of what that was
Probably because you have to CRANK a tube amp to get that nice distortion, and most web cams cant handle levels like that. The audio on the vid would probably just be CRCKCSSKKKKSHHHH. no good. dig?
I hear ya. How about the gain/od channel, though? Is that still "cleanish" at lower volumes?
And if you use a decent mic, and a good program (audacity is free) you can set the input and clipping up to eliminate some of that. I mean, I'm not saying you need to make a new vid or anything, just offering some advice and asking a few serious questions.
hey man i am gonna play small gigs and practice with my band and need a three chanell amp for 400 to 700 bucks. i want a loud amp but one that still sounds good at bedroom levels. i am thinking of getting the 112 combo version of this. i play classic southern hard and blues rock through a MIM strat and a schecter c1 hellraiser. Thx alot man
when I play some low notes on the E and A strings something inside the amp is resonating a buzzing. not too loud, but I can't see I don't hear that little buzz on those notes.
does anyone have the same problem? cos I've heard the same thing (even a louder buzz) on a hot rod deluxe...
at the store they just told me "they are all built like that"...
Im no expert, but it might be your tubes are going bad.I was having weird noises too,and I switched the power tubes a couple weeks ago and havent had any problems since then.
I've located the vibration, it should be in the power supply, but I don't want to open the case myself since I would have no clue about what to do to fix it
Ok I'm kinda new on this tube stuff so I have a couple of questions...
One of my power amp tubes has gone so I want to change it, do I have to change both of those tubes even if the other works fine? If I put the same kind of tube (6l6) but from a different brand (My Deville has standard GT's) like EHX or Svetlana or whatever, do I have to re bias the amp?
Maybe those are stupid questions but I dont know the answer so any information will help
Well..they fender 6l6's come in sets of two,so id go ahead and get both and be done with it. As long as the their the same tube(ex.6l6,el34,12AX7,etc...)you shouldnt have to rebias them. The brands really dont matter i think. You should be good to go,just get a new pair of 6l6,s and you'll be rocking!! Thanks man!
i have no clue in this video, since it was so long ago. But,,the settings i use right now are great.Volume-3.Drive channel i never use but it's on 3.Treble-5 Middle-4.Master-2.Reverb-3.Prescence-3.This is good for a solid rock tone.Thank you!
u def get satch's tone, but this thing is very versatile.u back of the gain and move the tone up a little bit, and u get a very cool bluesy sound. It works really good when u back off the volume on the guitar,it cleans up really good. But, i mean u can get alot of diff sounds with this thing.very versatile pedal
cool video. I just got a HRD 212, i'm really happy with it. Just curious if my HRD has problems or whether its normal...when you put up the presence does it make alot of noise to signal? thanks!
hey, im pretty sure thats normal.the presence boosts the signal and adds more gain to it.So im pretty sure its normal and everything should be fine, enjoy it man its a great amp! thanks for watching
I played this one today in the shop, this amp's clean tone is really really great, couldn't get it out of a Marshall TSL100. Overdrive is nice too, but harder work you could leave to a pedal (Boss OS-2 for example)
definately. forget the marshall, just get a satchurator or an overdrive for ur distortion and ur set. the clean on this amp is amazing!!!THANKS FOR CHECKIN OUT MY VID!!
how does the amp do with hard rock and guns n roses and warrent , motely crue tones.....how about jimi hendrix tones??? what about an ozzy osborn crazy train tone?
if you want those tones i think you should be looking at a JCM 900 or something like that, a fender can do those tones if you really work at it, but fenders are famous for their clean tone, meanwhile a marshall is what you should be looking at if you want those kinds of tones, although if you want the hendrix tone, you could get it out of a deville, but hendrix uses a marshall plexi for that sound
Dude, First of all for Guns Les Paul is required, and there's nothing sweeter than a marshall and a les paul, they are made for each other, This amps are very good but you will feel that is stll not there, JCM900 is the way to go, although clean marshalls are not beautiful. They are when you dirty them.
oh sounds great the distortion
jinete2420 3 months ago
You've got way too much fuckin reverb turned up.
madeyes4u 8 months ago
you would get much better overall tone if you cut the reverb down. The fullness of the pedal wll come through..

Honest question--why use that Satch pedal when you have natural tube overdrive at your disposal?
Not that the pedal sounded bad, but there's nothing like real tube amp OD, IMO.

yes but you can plug an attenuator to control your master volume and conserve your raw tube power...

How would this amp be for surf music? Does it have the ''splash'' ? (Reverb effect)

Fender Spring Reverb Tank--indeed; the very birthplace and definition of surf sound.

fender51503 2 years ago
tnx for the answer, but it's not the tubes. they are totally new and just checked by the technician.
it's something vibrating when some notes make it resonate
ansiaaa666 2 years ago
i have no clue then.Take it to a repair guy and he can probaly tell you whats going on
fender51503 2 years ago
I've located the vibration, it should be in the power supply, but I don't want to open the case myself since I would have no clue about what to do to fix it

i believe its not the tubes, but it might be that the part thats holding the tubes in place is loose, so they may move at certain frequencies
just a suggestion

u def get satch's tone, but this thing is very versatile.u back of the gain and move the tone up a little bit, and u get a very cool bluesy sound.
