@ViviAndHerMac This lens works brilliantly on the D5000. It has autofocus built in which is why it works, VR isn't what determines if it works on a D5000. Hope this helps.
Great review will. LLLOOORRRVVVEEE this lense. but i took it back and got the 50mm. found myself needing that bit more reach. but now i wish i hadent. going to buy it agian at some piont. Just editing my review of the 50mm 1.8 should be on tmoz. so keep an eye out or subscribe. Also lovin the imac wish id got one! Keep up the good vids!

regarding VR: It is not needed with a low aperture lense like this one, believe me! No need vor VR :)

Great video! I have a D300s and this same lens. It's mounted to my camera about 50% of the time.
