Frost is instant damage, and big numbers, but Unholy is possibly better dps due to the ghoul and disease improvements.

To be honest, i have a lv 85 unholy dk. and i also have frost as secondary. People still says that frost is MUCH better than unholy.. bu tit's not. Frost is instant dmg, like obliritate and all the other stuff, but unholy haves a zombie that can stun and attack really really fast, even if you cast unholy frenzy on him. + the diesiases takes more dmg. AND most important you can use stone gargoyle and dark transformation.

Can you also do a guide on AoE rotation for unholy DK as well? I left the game for a few months, about a month after Cata came out, and I just came back, and this helped me relearn how to play DK.

I can't remember how to do the AoE DPS, unless all you do is use Pestilence, then scourge X6?

now maybe i want to level my dk to 85 first... even tho i dont like DKs anymore. He was my main for almost 2 years. Nice gear as well, but now i want maybe to level up my paladin because he's good too, or my druid. Are druid and paladins good in cataclysm? Who do most dps of my classes if you know how to play? ok blizz u neeed to change the fact that unholy or frost cant tank man i was a lvl 59 freshly out of the starting zone and i went into a dungeon and there were 2 blood dks there 1 tank 1 dps and we wiped 2 times so they swaped and then we wiped so we all repaired our gear and i tried tanking as an unholy and we went through it with the exeption of 1 death of a dps but we rezed him and went through np

@silverdrgen That doesn't mean blood was problem. Ive seen protection pally fail hard and a ret pally save the day. If a DK of and spec fails at 60 its the player not the spec.

To be upfront. The new DK talents are BORING no matter how you do anything now. The old flexibility DK's had being able to tank in all tree is gone. The whole point of DK being a HERO class is now a Zero class. Basically boring class. I pray they fix things by the time Cata releases or I am gone for good. I already quit and waiting and hoping things improve before going back.

@BlueXephos you may think this sounds crazy but try to use improved unholy presence and use unholy presence as i makes u hit 15% faster i beleive or is it 10%? any how it also takes down the global coldown by 0,5 sec = when u spam scourge strike 6 times u dont have to worry about the global coldown ruin ur time and at last if u gear already gives some haste like mine dose u hit every 2 sec with a 2h with out raid buffs just try it and see for urself.

Pestilence-spread diseases now only do 50% damage base, Contagion basically makes it work like old pestilence.

Kinda screws target switching for Frost and Blood since if ya pestilence to a add then pestilence back to the boss, dot damage decreases by 50% each time.

@BlueXephos Pestilince increases the damage by 100% on top the 50%. So thats 150% Disease damage, so its nerfed for blood/frost, but a HUGE boost for unholy.
