When trying this just exit the level instead of using the "restart level" you won't lose any life.

But I agree this is the hardest f....... red ring.... By the way using the boost to catch it is completely useless you just have to hit the jump button at the right time, that's why this sh** is so hard

just folow that path without using the turbo at any time (and try jumping fron the center of the ramp on the roof) (oh... and don't forget to press foward... but don't use the boost!!!)

and at least you knew where to look. I was cursing Rouge to death because I already got a ring on the rails, just to find out " Maybe if I DON'T go the short cut?" Sheer luck I found that ring, and then...the hair pulling, Game overs, and FINALLY! I got it! Thanks to that restart thing...Sonic Generations showed me the game over screen more than any other game I've played, combined.

@Sonic222333 naw. in the coming weeks before this game came out i spent endless hours playing sonic unleashed on the xbox 360. why? to perfect my skills at playing using this new style of playing sonic in 3d. anyone that has played sonic unleashed and sonic colors should already know how to use the basic controls for modern sonic in sonic generations. and yes it paid off. when i started playing for the first time i started getting S ranks until the modern era

For everyone else trying to get this red star ring, don't boost when you get on the bottom ramp and press a. You're supposed to hold the analog forward and press a. As for the second ramp, you must get the ramp in the middle and press a.
