The lack of oxygen at 12000' is definately noticeable but it is impossible to predict who will be affected as it has nothing to do with how fit you are or how it affected you in the past. If you went up again you could easily find that the position is reversed.

Let's talk about oxygen. Gets to be an issue at 12,000 feet, doesn't it? But what about this... When my husband and I went in 2001, he was in terrific shape and I was in just good shape. Yet he was the one who really had trouble with the lack of oxygen. He hadn't had a huge breakfast that morning. He's just about all muscle and no fat, as opposed to my more typically middle-aged self. What was going on that I had no trouble and he had to stop a lot in order to get up there?
