  • this exact unit was out grinding CSX's ex Conrail water level route about 2 yrs ago.

  • i just saw one 4 the fist and at 9:45

  • This train came from hell?

  • Why does everything I see lately have to have a mexican Flag on it? Take note of the US FLAG on one end and the mexican flag on the other. I'm sick of it. I'm down in Texas and I wonder--Do they fly the US flag everywhere in Canada?

  • @carlisle1926

It is what it is. and yes, some CP Rail units have the US and Canadian flag on them.

A train designed by a madman and cast in the ingots of hellfire and brimstone.

  • *** Part I ***

@carlisle1926 .... 100% agree. I'm sick of seeing the thing painted on every flat surface in OUR country. I don't give a da#n what they do with it in Mexico, nor what Mexican-Americans do with it on THEIR structures, land, & owned stuff. But I DO expect them to respect the U.S. flag over any other, if they choose to live here & be fellow citizens. It's red, white, blue, 50 stars, 13 stripes, often called "Old Glory" ...... & hasn't a speck of green anywhere on it.

  • *** Part II ***

Before Internet-Hate-Club-Kiddies (tm) start their squeaking about prejudices & discrimination .... can it. No ones interested in your whining. Good people, each with a flag patch or similar design somewhere on body or uniform, fought & died so YOU can practice your 1st-Amendment rights. The VERY least you can do is not disrespect their purpose & beliefs by worshiping a Mexican flag, usually clueless to meanings & stories behind each color & section of Old Glory.

  • one of LORAM's rail grinders went on the NS B and H-Lines and set a wild fire and had the highway shut down. Luckily the mixed freights for NS on that line (Many Fuel Tankers) were done for the day and resting in Vardo to make the long trek to Harrisburg,PA and beyond

  • i saw rail griender that looked just like this about a year ago in russel kentucky

  • i layed a shit load of this rail for union pacific when they took over the katy lines back in 88 from kansas city to galveston texas. katy was only running their big boys 35 mph and barely keeping them on the track. we speeded it up to 75 mph so the military could haul arms to galveston for the ships to go to kuwait in the first war. they ran over 74 military trains a day. not including the coal trains we had to work around. godbless.

  • Pantera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lespaulguy32 For a moment,I thought I was at Guitar Center!!!

  • loram used to aid and supply there employees with methamphetamines... which lead to a cop being shot....w w w.supreme. courts.state.tx.us/ebriefs/04/04066604.pdf

  • @nipsta3 what happend? i worked for union pacific and it was common for men to use meth and cocaine to get through the long work days. but i never used . they would load us up on a bus to a motel room to drug test all of us. i would sale my piss for $25 a bottle. never say piss isnt worth shit because it is. lol was i proud of the fact ? no but my road master asked me to or go home. now that im older im a lot wiser. it was killing people. most of the men are dead now i worked with.

  • Can anyone explain to me how rail grinders work? Their purpose in railroad operations?

  • @NBAGOATS I work on one. It goes down the track a reshapes the tracks to lengthen the life of the rails. Sometimes the sparks start fires or burning embers and thats what all the water is for.

  • @chrsrumbaugh Cool thanks. I downloaded one for my MS Train simulator. Pretty cool stuff.

  • I was thinking this was the ghost story about that old tramp saying he killed some one and the express train from hell was coming for his soul.

  • OMG you people need to get lives.

  • @paulcampbell39 Grown men do not use OMG. Thank you. SSSSSSSSSSSMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAASSSSSHHHHHH

  • This particular railgrinder is one of the better maintained ones that Loram has. I have done the maintenance on this railgrinder for a couple of years now. I have worked on five other railgrinders. This one is the best maintained and cleanest one I've been on. Cool video, though.

  • Train from hell. Indeed, that works quite well.

Whats all the noise at 0:18?

  • Oh man. I worked on a railgrinder for LORAm. That is the worst job in the world. 14-16 hour days for 8.50 an hour. that black smoke that comes up is (i'm sure you guys know) the metal shavings from the rail being "grinded" and all my job was is to use an air hose to blow off the machine all day while its going...sucked

  • @finnta1 did they offer any chance of advancement? I was thinking about getting a job there through these desperate times, but not if you cant move up the totem pole

  • whats the song at the beginning?

  • Walk by Pantera.

  • Wow Man, you're not kiding. If satan had a death train to carry his evil, this would be it. It looks SOOOO creepy.

  • its not from hell

  • Well here's a train that I cannot find in Ho Scale.

  • I can't find a Mack switcher in HO scale......actually, I can't find it in ANY scale!

  • there are some on ebay right now but they are unpowered

  • signal maintainers nightmare

  • EXACTLY.

  • those poor guys sleep on bored 6weeks on 2off low pay the flag is on there so when in mexico they dont smash the windows and she doesnt go to canada ony us and mexico. i work with this crew last year as a pilot

  • this train does go to cananda i am currently on this machine and we are in fort francis ontario heading towards winnipeg

  • What does it take to get on these crews I live in canada and would like to work for loram.

  • Train is here NOW in Brandon, MB. Canada March 27th 2009.

  • Ok kids gather round it seems like your all wondering what this thing is...Its RG-15 a mainline Rail Grinder in LORAMS domestic Fleet I dont know who their contracted to in this footage but they had just got done Grinding for Chicago METRA. The passenger cars are crew camp cars and this is not a work train.. it is a track unit big difference..

  • That is really cool, BoxcarFrank.
