bortous, the boss315, like any other modular boss before it, is hand-built. They take thousands of kms to get run-in, unlike the LS crate motors, which are run in before they're shipped over. If you believe a 315 only pulls 14s... you know that's not true. In an NZ comparo thee boss belted the LS3.317 from pillar to post, 0.8L less capacity. A stock run-in 290 is a mid to low 13sec car (with ZF).

They love their holdens in the middle east... they export them as chev... the statesmans and the commodores... now holden is exporting to the states quite a bit more with their new model... thats badged as the pontiac g8... vaxhaul in europe... but overall ford and holden i think can no longer afford not to export... the crappy asian cars have taken a substantial bite
the german cars have also become more popular, ppl opting for a bottom of the range 318 over a top of the range locally built holden or ford. theres like a stigma attached to these cars these days... if you drive one ur a bogan/commoner/lower class aussie... so both ford and holden are struggling atm... high fuel prices have caused an explosion in asian shitboxes and the desire to look rich by buying german even though for the same money u can get a better car, means these brands are struggling
more feedback and accuracy than the VE. All VE hsv has 4 piston brakes. they are not 6!. they have a large pad area with a high friction pad to save costs. I would recommend either but if u want luxury, and smoothness, go ford, if u want to have fun go holden.
i also test drove the new FG ford. Its a really good car and is better engineered than the VE. But, on the limits, the ford is dangerous and the V8 lets it down. with the VE u can understeer it and control it much better than the ford but the ford has better steering and holds the corners well as long as u don't push it too hard. As a die hard HSV fan the ford is a better engineered car than the VE. It is quiter inside, the brakes are better, and so is the interior. the steering is excellent

For V8 grunt, u cannot beat the chev for sound and performance. i have a VZ R8 tuned, exhaust, OTR intake, pulley and balancer kit and i pulled 285rwkw. i pull low 12 sec 1/4 miles and mine is auto. it beats the BMW M5 off the line and even more top end. we dragged! If your going to work a ford, work the turbo six. its so much better!

It makes me embarrassed to own one in my 97' Riviera. Don't get my wrong I love that engine (mine is supercharged) and I love the car but the exuast sounds so tinny/raspy gargly that I am glad someone came out with an awesome system like this.
