Two white guys stab a black man to death and take his wallet.

With hate crime legislation the two white guys would be charged with a hate crime, thereby placing more value on the man that was robbed and killed, than the honor student that was brutally beaten to death.You somehow think this is equality for all? We have laws, enforce the law; equal blind justice for all

Well, here's the issue. The Hate Crimes legislation, specifically speaking about crimes against GLBT people, are necessary for this reason: All the of the organized religions of the world portray homosexuality as unnatural and sinful, which is in fact the exact opposite of the truth of the matter. Diversity is the method through which Creation does its work. Similar to the Three Strikes law in California, which keeps everyone living together peacefully, for the most part, the Hate Crimes...

...legislation would criminalize the behavior to murder those at the far ends of the diversity spectrum, and hopefully then those who listen to the religions' untruths will begin to see things differently and question the subject matter for themselves, coming to a different conclusion altogether.

I dont know how to break this to you, but murder has already been criminalized, in most states its punishable by death. It sounds like double jeopardy to me. Its also not just a bill for Homos, its also for anyone that is attacked by another race, unless the victim is white then it cant be a hate crime, because as you know all white people are racist anyway. There is absolutely no need for this moronic legislation. All it will do is make prosecutors jobs more difficult and tie up the courts

And how's that working out? This "moronic" legislation keeps the legal system from turning a blind eye when GLBT people are murdered in cold blood, ensuring maximum sentences, eliminating those from our society who still feel as though it is their HOLY DUTY to eliminate GLBT's. Wake up and smell the coffee. We are in a war to keep this nation from becoming a Theocracy, and if it does, we will be no different from the Islamic Nations where GLBT's are murdered with no quetions asked.
