  • All the cars in the world were once accessible only to the rich. There was a time when only the absolutely rich could afford washing machines and only the rich could fly on planes. Because the rich paid the high price, we all can now afford it. It is not a perfect system but it is a system contains the fixes to most of its own problems.

  • TelevisionPirate is right Obama and the left scewed us over the left never stood up for the people not we have to live our lives the way the right wants us to so tell me people why is the left weak and have no balls what so ever ?????

  • @TelevisionPirate - Nice rant. But rant all you want, it doesn't make it the point any more valid.

The government already scrutinizes you. When you drive on the road, the government enforces your compliance with state insurance. When you open a bank account you're scrutinized; when you travel internationally, you're scrutinized.

Seems the only time righties don't care about government scrutiny is when it comes to fighting those pesky Muslim "terr'rists" - how quickly you forget then!

  • @TelevisionPirate The epic power of your CAPS LOCK key has convinced me I am wrong. I have seen the errors of my ways. I renounce my Marxist-tainted leanings and declare Milton Friedman is my lord and savior. Thank you for saving me!!!

  • The reason I'm being such a dick is because I am so sick in tired of this argument for one!! So it's not just you, or your stance, it's this argument.. Nothin I'm going to say is going to change your mind, and nothing I'm going to say is going to change your mind...

First you have to have car insurance because it's a privilage to drive, so are you telling me it's a privilage to live???

You guys are being so selfish on your side.. Because it's not just the right that's saying NO!

  • shit!! you kno what I met!

Whatever I say isn't going to change your views, and nothing you say is going to change mine!

    There...

  • @TelevisionPirate Well it's obvious you're passionate about this. Still - just as a constructive criticism - your all caps comments are going to get you dismissed by some who might listen.

That said: I for one fear big corporations more than I do big government.

The healthcare industry has had 60+ years to change its tune and it hasn't.

I would respect your argument more if you backed them up. Instead you predicate them on the same old, tired cliché of "big government" fear mongering.

  • @mikepalomino There are those that still have their parents wipe their butts, even at 35 years of age. Then as the parents have had enough of it. They turn to the government(the rest of tye people of the nation) to wipe it for them.

For those 60 years the the majority of people have had no problem paying for their own healthcare. Now a generation of kids is coming up with, "why should I have to pay for healthcare, why can't the rest of the nation help me out".

If we can do it, so can you.

  • @MrSTANDFORAMERICA People once said the same thing about education. Eventually it was understood that the health of the nation was tied directly to the skill and aptitude of its citizens. Thus public education was adopted across the nation and paved the way to our modern age.

Healthcare is no different. A healthy nation is a productive nation.

This is not about "wiping butts." Only in the parochial mindset of the Right is providing for the health of an individual some kind of handout.

  • there's a big difference between school and heathcare. Basic education is only 12 years. This healthcare is from birth to death.

The "wiping butts" as so falls under grownups being allowed to start on their parents healthcare until the are 27 is total b/s. That's the government wiping these brat kids ass.

Kids need to learn in school how to take care of themselve sand stop depending on everyone else.

  • Obama could hardly pass this bill in his own party, and they dominate...

So give me a break ok?!?

You go ahead and love your big government, I know enough about government to know that I don't want them digging through my medical files!

PERIOD! Call me a self prick all you want, and sorry for blowing up! But again I am sick in tired of this argument! have a good day, and love your government because I HATE IT!

    BOTH SIDES ARE A JOKE!!!

Sorry, again, that was wrong on my part...
