Actually, compared to other video game movies, the Super Mario Bros. movie wasn't that bad. The acting was good, the special effects were decent, the script had some funny lines, and it made its money back. It's not a GOOD movie, sure, but it blows Double Dragon, House of the Dead and Legend of Chun-Li out of the water.

So, we later got their Mario 2 on the SNES, and likewise, they got our Mario 2, although, they got it on both the original NES and Mario All-stars, which was only released the US, thus giving it the name Super Mario USA...Something like that...
