@peccatamundi2010 glad the video helps. ILS beam is fixed in 1 direction regardless of what course u set. while VOR can be used for tracking from any direction. Interms of approach, ILS is called precision approach because it can guide the aircraft straight the runway while VOR approach is called non precision approach. It guides the aircraft towards the runway direction but not on the centerline. Pilots have to be visual and locate the runway before making a landing.
How do you rotate so smoothly. When I rotate (go from zero to full back) I practically jump off the runway, and the nose hops to 20 degrees +. I know about ground-effect, but this seems a little much. Thx.
@CubesForAKid First make sure the trim is set for take off. I normally use two fingers on the joystick. Pull slowly but smoothly. With enough practise u can do it!
Cessna doesn't need flaps for take off. Unless u wanna do performance take off or taking off from grass where u wanna get airborne asap then yes, u can use flaps for take off

@optiled How much trim is takeoff?
CubesForAKid 1 year ago
@CubesForAKid There's a marking next to the trim indicator. That's the take off trim position
