@SmallSkaterFreak The first scene is in the movie, But only if you have the special extended edition. If you have the original version then yes it is a deleted scene. I recommend getting the extended ones cause the movie is so better to watch. =)

I never liked this scene because it doesnt give Lembas bread its due. Sam makes it sound like he isnt fond of the bread, but by definition Lembas is not only filling, but delicious.....delicious to an elven palate. In the books, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli are able to make their run after the Uruks because of Lembas bread...and when they reach the horseriders, they are impressed at the incredibly short time it took them to run the distance.

The movies make it sound like MREs or Hard Tack.
