I might think that the escort would go off first because the position of it as to where the police is on the left side of the road. I think another good way woulda been to switch them out.
15 degrees is a bit steep in your estimation, in my opinion, however to keep these two windshield-mount radar detectors appropriately spaced the curvature of the windshield accounts for most of this. Plus there may have been a little play in the mounting during all of the miles.
Feel free to discount this video if you believe the outcome would have been appreciably different had it been dead-on straight.

Meh, I just guestimated the angle. It makes sense that the slope of the windshield would make mounting difficult when its on the far left/right. Keep the videos crankin' ! :)

That happened when I tried to mount my 9500ix. But since the mounting bracket is weak I bended it to make it fit perrfectly right next to the mirror.
