I was with Shannon on this day, I can attest to the fact that he had taken a very large dose of very good LSD. He had a wonderful time. He was on of the very few stars there that didn't act like a star. He was out amongst the people being one with the crowd and riding the vibe. He was a beautiful man, and a true artist. Yes, he had been clean for months before this performance, but this was not the downfall that triggered his demise.

This is the greatest performance I've ever seen. This is probably the best show ever by Blind Melon, let alone the best one at woodstock 94. You just don't get these type of performances anymore, and its sickening. I just don't see another Shannon Hoon, Jim Morrison, or Robert Plant rising to the surface anytime soon. I hope that I'm wrong. When will we see the next Shannon Hoon? Only time will tell...
