  • I live in Kentucky, I was in 2nd grade when this happend, we missed several school days, over a month, I love school. that's what really hurt me. I was only 8 years old. I had to be rushed to the hospital. A heavy branch from a tree fell on me and I was injured pretty bad. I broke a led arm wrist neck. It was terable I willnever be able to forget that horrible day.

  • stock up on food people! rice, beans, bouillon, oatmeal, water, dried fruit, canned food! etc.

  • Excellently admissions! 

  • KY had one of the lowest tax rates on cigs at the time of the Ice Storm, but just a few months later, there was a $0.90 tax implemented. Still, not bad considering some states.

  • Fred Brown showed poor leadership during this storm and has for the entire time in office. He apparently wants no progress economically for the area!

  • Of course not. This is a county that concentrates on attracting tourists with its backroads theme, not jobs or progress. This place was bypassed years ago in every sense of the word, and that's the way it will continue to be.

  • I thought we had it bad here in Eastern Ky. being without eletric for 4-6 days and with about a 1/4 to 3/8 inches of sleet and ice, but I guess we were lucky.
