I enjoy HTB. I thought A natural death was a fantastic album that was composed with masterful ears. I'm sort of sorry I didn't buy it. I bought TMH though so I guess it's okay.
They deserve some more recodnition(sp?). Some guy on iTunes said "these guys aren't really good. I think people just listen to them to be different".
fuck horse the band, some nerve to fucking complain about there lives. as if they are at the bottom. i would fucking die to be in there positions, they have no idea how good they have it. so fuck this interview.
eh i don't know. everyones got problems. it just depends on your background and how people grew up. i mean lot of shit coulda happened that affected him. take kurt cobain for example. his families divorce affected him very deeply in his childhood. i mean fuck if i was doing what i love like that i would be happy but life on the road is very lonely after a while.
@8Dgman how would you know. i mean, i can imagine, but they don't have to do what they are doing if they don't want to. if they didn't want to do it, they wouldn't be doing it. the only thing i can imagine, is the fact that they are the most underrated band out there and they deserve much much more attention for the effort they put out. but i still would give so much to be in there position i just can't imagine complaining about it.
@8Dgman hell yeah man. horse is one of the only things i listen to these days. and for a long time, i am also glad they are still around. so many good bands are breaking up.

@chadinterrupted well honestly man, theyre all pretty broke. I mean they work regular jobs when they dont tour, and for the earth tour Dave went into debt just to fund it and their record labels up to this point have kinda fucked them over in one way or another
the whole concept to desperate living like he said, was finding the good medium. just because a band tours doesnt mean they live a good life. Most bands are just getting by financially, look at Big d and the kids table, prime example
@chadinterrupted and as far as touring and seeing the world, you CAN do that. Its not as easy as snapping your fingers, no, but it all takes work. For the earth tour they spent 3 months setting it up ad planning it, its all DIY, and pretty much any DIY band has it rough, because no ones helping them out. They get something here and there from cd sales and the label but its not much
and basically thats what most bands have to do at first: plan, fund, and travel on your own resources when touring.
@chadinterrupted not trying to get on a high horse or anything (no pun intended), but its true, being in a band and trying to do most of it yourself is anything but easy. Theres so much politics and BS in the music industry today its unreal. if youre not writing generic bs love songs,or are the next nickelback, then youre not gonna be in the top 25 billboard.
Honestly man, the best thing you can do (and anyone really) is watch music docs like "american hardcore". Talks all about DIY concepts
@venturex27 you just told me everything that i already know lol. i do the same thing they do, and try to do it right. not only do me and the rest of my band do what they do, but we record ourselves. well we kind of have to because we don't have enough people to do all the instruments so we backtrack everything and it would be annoying and expensive to work with a real studio when we can DIY. even with jobs and all that other shit me and my band absolutely struggle.
All I'm saying is that, as a veiwer, if I feel uncomfortable and don't like the interveiwer ad her questions, then she's not doing her god damn job right.
you think they were being serious? They were more likely saying that because they felt sorry that it was such a shitty interview. Or to be polite. I don't see a lot of interviews where someone says "that was a good interview". the only thing that made this great was how awesome HORSE is, and how they tried hard to make this a GOOD interview.

I'm kind of sick of Cutsman too. I like A Million Exploding Suns. The lyrics to that song are kickass.
My favorite album is Desperate Living.

@bhbman90 well obviously she was cause the band told her afterwards that it was a good interview, and if the band thinks so thats what matters most.

Bad interview. These guys are interesting people, but they always get asked the same dumbass questions in interviews.
