First, I think that peppermint is associated with the holidays simply because of candy canes.

My favorite thing with peppermint would have to be Peppermint Patties. Easily one of my top 10 favorite candies. Also, Bryers Mint Chocolate Chip. Best. Ice Cream. EVER.

$6.99 for ice cream? Insane! I work at the local Shop Rite (a northeast coast supermarket chain), and I feel bad for anyone who doesn't have one near them. Unless it's organic or imported, ice cream never goes over $4.99. Hell, I remember getting Edy's for $1.99. Just thought I'd put this out there.

It makes sense to me that it doesn't have a milky ice cream aftertaste texture to it, because peppermint isn't dairy based. And my favorite treat with peppermint in it is york peppermint patties.

I associate peppermint ice cream with one Thanksgiving that I spent at my college roommates home because it was too far to go home. We went and saw Romeo + Juliet and then afterwards had store bought peppermint ice cream. I don't like peppermint but I had it anyway. First and last time I'll ever have it lol
