This guy is an IDIOT, his methods are often in my opinion cruel, this video isn't a bad one, infact he is quite nice with the horse but all the other videos i have seen by him have been murder worthy
Fine - but what do you mean?..and it's 'their' not 'there'..and treat a horse like a school girl? Time to be specific my friend. If you are advocating treating horses live livestock...then we don't agree but that's the way of the world.
imho progress was made.bit didn't hurt the horses teeth or he would have thrown his head up.i use fruit roll ups wrapped on the bit to get mine to learn to like it.years later they still turn to get their nose in the bridle while it is still hanging on my arm before i even get the halter off.this horse simply hasn't learned to trust yet but he will.like people horses should be required (forced) to do some things.this horse gets free feed and healthcare.this is his job.
I dispise Monty with a passion. His methods have gotten me hurt before and damaged my relationship with my horses. Andrea Kutsch on the other hand is fantastic
@BlazingAva Monty is awesome, his method is impossible to get your horse to injure you by cos you send the horse away at first, if it didn't work you did it wrong lol i am going to see him for second time on friday :)
I think I disagree with this method. If you had a horse that has a problem with his ears the best thing to do is go back to the drawing board and desensitize there ears. Then when you take off the bridle you be VERY careful not to hit there teeth like this guy did! That's usual the biggest reason why they hate to be bridled. Hmm... Who is this guy?
no corn syrup or mollasses need! Stick your thumb in their mouth where the bit goes as your putting it on! This works great! My horse likes to clamp her mouth shut, And the thumb works great! Painless all the way around.

that horse is compleatly uncondfidant. Sure he's not hurting the horse but he is still forcing him.I did not once see that animal relax

It's obvious to me that he's working with a green horse or a very headshy horse. In which case he did quite well.
sneakycat42o 3 years ago
so? I've worked with many green horses some that are almost wild and yet I never did that.

i agree with you.
he should have let her relax a little bit, i think, but she wasn't scared or anything. just a little nervous

True, I don't think he's ABUSING her, I just think he could've handled it better for a professional.
