  • This video is taken at the topgoing through town, the range is insane, every day trucks get stuck ( clutch damage, broken tail shafts etc), in 2004 they brought a load up to the power station, it was the biggest ever moved in Australia, it got stuck halfway up the range & was there for over a week, even before they got to the range they had big problems, it sank through the highway surface & struggled to pull over the earth surface. I will find pics I took & post with a link.

  • That slammed twin-steer cab-over pushing is tits

  • Awesome trucks

  • how close was it to hittin the sign?

  • Jetengine7. They can't fuckin pull over 1000 tonnes what are u a retard most heavy haulage trucks are rated to 130 tonne that is y they are doing a push pull tow with 4 or 5 more trucks. If you have 1000 tonne on the truck wouldn't even move it would just burn the clutch or stall so get ur facts right first dick head

  • What is the heaviest load ever transported on public roads?

  • i saw this too. bout 12 at night it took for ages to go around the corner.

  • i have hgv class 1 and 2 for the uk and i am looking to migrate to austrila can i drive trucks or will i need to do the test wil myy uk lisence cover it can sum 1 tell me please

  • well im currently getting my HR lic and when i was sitting in side an RMS centre i over heard a pommy asking the same question and he got told too a driving test for what ever class was equivalent he had for an Australian one thats all i know.

  • I dont think you have to. It depends on what you carting.

  • anyone who has driven the toowoomba range would be impressed by this effort. One big ,long steep hill. Even worse gong down. shereboi, don't over-complicate things. one bloody good effort HHA.

  • Yeah but that one truck didnt pull that load up and over the range now did it

  • depends on the hills she has to climp

  • really really nice how heavy is this wight i think dont need that many lorries

  • @MrPeter2004 It's 550 tons, or 1.1 million pounds.

  • i would like to see volvo f16 pull 150.... the one at my work struggles pulling a double sometimes

  • This one here seems to be a Scania. The new Volvo FH16 has i think 700hp or something like that.

  • good vid I never knew those big loads where comming through town other wise I would have gone to watch. How do I go about finding out when they're doing this again?.

  • If you know anyone that's working a power station project, they would know. I'm guessing that went to Darling Downs power station between Dalby and Kogan.

  • sounds like someone missed a gear and had to stop and start again.lol

  • Super

HYE man try wich 1 tractor and stop with jacob brake 550 tonnes Crazy man

L'm drive in Canada wich 55 tonnes on 4 axels trailer and i'm watch the traffic for make sure to stop

  • Hehe, 2'nd one is swedish v8 =)

  • How many hp are there at work?!?!

    I thing so 2000

    greatings from Germany and 5*

  • yeah thats the toowoomba range, 10- 12 % grade with some nasty cambered corners all down it, traction can be an issue going uphill in the rain around a some of the corners. general rule of thumb is more horsepower the better cause once ya stop or miss a gear change you wont get started again its too steep. i reckon they would use all those trucks for their engine brakes to control it on the steep downhill....

  • That is freakin cool! Most i have ever seen is a push/pull setup with a set of drives on the trailer. this makes that look like kid shit

  • THE BEST VIDEO EVER

  • lol are all those trucks really needed?

  • the truck lightnings looks great!!!!

  • Depends on the terrain. One truck is not pulling that load up a steep grade. Even large haul tractors like the Mack M45 can only pull so much before drive axle traction becomes a huge issue. The Mack M100 was rated to pull 1000 tons but eventually a grade will present a problem. Also road conditions play a role as well, are you always going to be on a paved road?

Next time, please think before you speak. Finland isn't the land of magical trucks.

  • @lordtaw 1000 tons pulled by one truck? I doubt that. And even if it could move it (on level ground), no company would dare rate a truck for 1000 tons because the first downhill grade and the trailer will be in control.

  • @cromboldWVU If the truck lordtaw mentioned really is the Mack M100 than it is most likely true.

Take a look at the photos at this page.

  • @cromboldWVU Actually some severe duty semi trucks can pull over 1000 tons alone. The world record for weight pulled by one semi on flat ground is 2.8 million pounds which is 1400 tons. But a load that heavy would destroy the roads and be impossible to slow down when going downhill. That's why they always use a couple trucks in case one loses its brakes or something. You wouldn't want to risk damaging a multimillion dollar load or losing control and killing people.

  • @cromboldWVU Although 1000 tons sounds like a bit of a stretch, the M100 hauls 100 tons on its back off road. A tractor when properly ballasted could easily pull 10 times its gross capacity. I am not suggesting one truck *should* be used to solo such a load but rather it technically could.

The moron below: dowdell25 has ZERO technical knowledge of trucks. BIG heavy haulers don't have clutches as they would most likely have a monster Allison or a Clark Power Shift transmission.

  • @lordtaw I can assure you all those truck have clutches

  • In Finland you suck penis also? whats your point? These trucks are going up a steep range that is long and windy, and they got it up in 25 minutes. Remarkable effort.

  • one truck, 550 ton, yeah im sure. vid/pics or stfu.

  • Actually one truck can pull a lot more than 550 tons, baldymp3. The world record was set by a Mack Titan truck in Australia in February of 2006. It pulled 113 trailers weighing a total of 2,865,980 lbs! That's 1,433 tons! It was a completely stock truck with a 620 hp, 2050 ft-lb. torque engine, and an 18-speed transmission. It also had three drive axles. There are semi trucks out there with even bigger engines and 10 wheel drive, so yes it is possible to pull over 550 tons with one truck.

  • yeah and i guess you see that kinda thing every day dont you. marleys transport had the record for a while as did doug gould but these are record attempts. not everyday transport. shit ive seen a man pull a loaded truck but it doesnt mean thats how they transport them. i was referring to the comment some pisshole in the snow made about how they do this kinda load with one truck. bullshit they do! and you try and pull it up the toowoomba range, yeah see how that goes. love to be there to see it.

  • oh yeah and john atkinson, the bloke you are talking about, went all of 100 metres.

  • Yeah, they usually don't pull loads over 400,000 lbs. with just one semi tractor. It's too risky and dangerous. Can you imagine if the truck lost its brakes or if the engine stalls going uphill. They need to use more than one truck so they can have enough control over the load. That way if one tractor loses traction or its brakes, the others can prevent the whole load from going out of control and possibly destroying millions of dollars of equipment, or even killing someone.

  • thats correct but the main deal with the trucks in this video was to get it up the range. if you want to see what im talking about go to texast525 (owner of this vid) and have a look at his video toowoomba range in mack superliner and you will see why they needed the trucks.

  • you have a truck that pulls 550 tons? please post a video of that, otherwise dont say stupid shit like that.

  • @shereboi 550 tons is nothing for most semis. Some severe duty trucks can pull 1400 tons as demonstrated a couple years ago by a stock Mack truck in Australia. It's not surprising since some trucks can produce over 200,000 lb-ft of torque at the axles in first gear.

  • @jetengine7 yeah i dont care really mate. im talking about one truck pulling this load and also stopping with the loaded trailer. im sure a truck could pull over 550 tons but not over hills and shit, only on flat ground.

  • @shereboi thats not flat ground there is a tiny up hill on that road

  • saaaweeeet keep the vids comin like to c the big stuff rare to move that many tons in the states

  • The heaviest i ever pulled is between 150 tones(gross weight) using a volvo f16 low bed hauling heavy equipments

  • Whats the weight of the heaviest load ever!

  • awazing. I know they were doing a lot of heavy hauling up to Woomera for a while.

  • what was that white thing?

  • Thats proper hauling!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome work jon, great vid and thats a damn big shift!

  • imagine that goin over your toe:)

  • sick!!!!!!

  • That is insane, did they actually pull that up the range? Great video mate. Look forward to seeing more of this.

  • fala ai seis canecos, seus vídeos são muitos legais coloca alguns Brasileiros e eu coloco para ti uma música q não seje engraçada para vc...

  • This is some heavy hauling

  • was this load going to the power station at millmerran? or kogan?

  • holy cow !!! awesome vid

  • Good vid. Some cabin view using the Spicer AUXbox in co. with the roadranger would be a treat. There are no examples of this anywhere on the net, HHA have these boxes, dont they ;-?

  • that truck is a western satr with a 600hp cat ,18 speed and a 4 speed auxillary

  • That was amazing!!!!

  • wow that is the best horsepower lol great video!!!!!!

  • great video thanks
