Glad you're doing well! I'm trying to get back into watching what I eat, and getting into a fitness routine again. I did really well for months, until I had a very stressful period for about a month in a half. So now that I'm out of that hump, I'm trying to get back on track. Because of that stressful time, I had gained the 12lbs I had lost :( Here I am starting over.
Hypothetically, if you recorded these episodes of weight loss and words of wisdom, but didn't upload them onto youtube, do you think you'd still be as successful?
im considering doing weekly updates via webcam but I'm not really comfortable putting them on youtube.
SO yeah what I said in my other comment still stands - beautiful Kapha girl, you'll never look like those other doshas, cause that's not your body type. On the plus side, you'll sound better than them (voice-wise and personality-wise) most of the time, so yeh not bad at all IMO.
Personally, I love Kapha girls, they're like an island of sanity :)
I love how you never give up and continue on your weight loss journey ! I'm just starting my weight loss vlog and I hope I can stay as consistent as you throughout this.
how about doing a grocery haul.... I miss them. You are the one who got me into teas... LOVE them. you give some great advice. thanks for taking the time
I am a record....I love your vids!!! Question! - I love your organization video you did last december (i think thats when it was) are you still organizing the same way or have you found something new? Thanks! :)
I actually think it's great that you all have disconnected a bit from YouTube and your just focusing on living and being. It's so hard to keep documenting every little thing that you do much less make videos of your every effort. Good to hear from you guys now and then, though. Glad you are finding "you" and that you're still making progress at your own pace!
@antishay You're right. I did post the same comment on Nicoles recent video, and my compliment and feedback is indeed genuine. However it goes out to all of you that I have been following for a couple of years now. If you reread I refer to "you all" and "you guys".....meaning you, Nicole, Jason, and Amber. Just like you post a general video to us that covers many questions...I posted a general comment that I felt applied to the both of you and that I wanted both of you to read.
1. Sports in the MORNING, especially cardio. Morning gets the most fat burn effect, from your unit or time invested. Second best is afternoon, and last is evening.
2. Coconuts - Give you power to exercise, and your body can't store the extra energy. Bonus if you blend em and make coco milk, the hot liquid is a great detox.
3. Yerba Mate - It's a natural healthy fat burner and stimulant. Great coffee replacement.
@lilz0mbi3 Hey there. I imagine it can be purchased at any health / organic shop, on the internet, or wherever South American people gather (cafe's for instance) they might have it, sell it or serve it.
Ask around and/or google around, I'm sure it will be much easier to get it in the US, than it was for me in Romania :)
As for uploading webcam vids to youtube, I say go the middle way - upload them on another account. If ppl start trolling too much you can just close it.
@PeaceLoveSlim I'm doing the p90x program too =) I'm on day 46 at the moment and it's been amazing so far. As for your worry about the weight gain of 2lbs.. did u know that weight will naturally fluctuate + or - 4lbs throughout the day? I suggest measuring body fat % in conjunction with the scales to workout exactly how much fat you are losing. Hope that helps..
Hi right at the beginning you mentioned being insecure about your bust, how is that now? Do you think they're much smaller, or just relatively smaller, so they are relatively the same cup size they were before? Do you care anymore? How about stretch marks, and flatness, have you noticed any sagging in your breasts??
Im trying to lose weight after a back surgery and my 2 kids. I have been doing p90x now for 2 weeks. I dont expect intant results, but I have gained 2 lbs in 2 weeks. What do you think is goin on??!
@HealthIsInPlease I'm 165ish lbs and 5'9'' - my maintenance calories are WAY up for debate...
Every BMR calculator gives me a maintenance-calories level of about 1570. However, that's if I just lie on the floor all day. For someone who is sedentary (like me), you multiply by 1.2 to get daily BMR of around 1880 calories.
So I say my maintain calories are 1700-1900. I aim to eat 17-1800 so that even if I'm over my losing-weight calories (~1300) by a few hundred, I'm stil below maintain. See? :)
I noticed that you've considerably cut down your calories to 1200. Won't that lower your metabolism down and prevent you from losing weight? How far do you think you might cut the calories down to see results? The reason why I ask is that I recently learned that cutting down calories is not an effective way to lose the pounds. Boosting your metabolism to create an anabolic state is of greater importance and more effective.. Anyways just thought I would share.. =) Love the BTYL series btw..
Hey Antishay, you are so smart girl, everytime i look forward to wath your videos, I learned already so much from you. And it helped my life in such a amaizing way. Because I struggle 11 years with my eatingdisorder. And your advise is realy helping me! So thanks girl, you are the best!
What fruits are good with helping digestion? Kiwi, pineapple, banana's? I was just curious if you had any information on that because I have a high fruit diet and most people love fruit in general. Some people's bodies are not yet "clean" enough for fruit, so says Natalia Rose.
Hi shanti! I been away from youtube for a while and I'm happy to be back :) First thing I did was click on this video. Its good to see you again, take care and good luck this week. Do you still do blog tv?
Lately, my knee started to hurt from running. So, I gave exercise a break...now I am finding it hard to get motivated again. Have you ever had similar experience and if so, how did you get yourself remotivated?
that is awesome antishay to have a schedule...I feel that we are one in that regard. I'm doing every other day this month (as I did last month). You don't have to workout every day...but it's nice to switch up because you've planned it, not because you've over-taxed yourself.
One question I would love to ask you is if you have any advice regarding having a good body image after having hit goal size. When going through weight loss I've noticed (with myself and others) that it's hard to see how your body has changed.
Another question I would ask is how to deal with continuous comments about your weight when going through weight loss. I've noticed that losing weight invites other people to give (uninvited) advice regarding whether you are too big/too small.
first off, you look great!!:) second, you are sooo right!!! "It's not always time to loose weight" you completely caught my attention with that sentence:) totally agree!
I have a question. I've been at maintaining my current weight for the last two months and have been having relatively low calories most days as well as doing 4-5 days of cardio exercise a week. This week I had the flu, so I didnt work out but maintained the same amount of calories and I dropped 6 pounds? I have no idea how I lost weight when not exercising. Has something crazy like this happened to you with your weight loss? Or am I just a freak lol
@allustrial This happened to me. I lost 10lbs in the first 2 weeks of eating right without exercise and then I started working out and I havent lost weight since. It's weird. Weightloss-wise I wanted to stop working out because I want to lose weight but I need to workout my heart so I know in the long run, working out is beneficial. I'm gessing it is because when we workout our muscles tighten so it is that, that might keep us at the same weight but only because its turning into muscle ;)
@bsjo31 Yeah it's really strange! I'm not complaining. I guess the muscle gain from exercise doesn't really show up on the scales. Either way we're going in the right direction, so that's all that matters =)
I did a google search for YouTube groups and the page I found was really lame. I couldn't even search. It's a shame, because I joined a few groups right before YouTube took them off and it would have been nice to get to know people through them. That being said, challenges, like the H4H2 one that's going on now, are creating little groups/communities/support systems for those involved.
I love pull ups, they are one of the most empowering things a woman can conquer! To build up strength for those it's best not to work for failure, you will build strength faster if you do them every day, never to failure. I know that's unsolicited, but I learned about this in the past year and it has REALLY helped. Negatives are great for building strength, too :)
I love your enthusiasm and am so impressed with your motivation and journey!
that good you got your calories on lock! what are the calories from though? are you in to eating Whole Foods? Mono-Meals? Living Enzyme Rich food? you look great!
What a perfect woman.

Things that I found to work weight loss -wise:
4. Paul Mckenna's videos :)
