  • i have like 123 PVE fitted Rohks in 40 different stations, i can't help it, i like building Rohks GWAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • Lasers are where the real fun is. Allmost thier entire range is optimal which makes even pulse lasers effective at long range. The only catch is since most ships that use lasers armor tank they tend to be slow from all the speed penalties on armor rigs. Though the sansha ships shield tank really well. Damn I love my nightmare.

  • @MrAwsome514 Hail Sansha!!! I love my phantasm lol.

  • @NinjatoBlade I preffer the nightmare myself.

  • I say that most caldari ships (not all) are for pve, not for pvp. I would prefer strategic cruisers (all on lvl 5) for pvp. The Legion (amarr) and the Proteus (Gallente) are very good for pvp (Loki too, don't have experience). The proteus is really food for close range blasters, which melt away the caldarian shields. Or legion lasers for good optimal range and dps. It doesn't have so much as the proteus. The tengu is a very good mission runner/tanker (see my corpmember with it) but that's not m

  • A close range Mega will eat your face off if you get too close to it. Just sayin, BS's can be good pvp ships.

I prefer BC class and lower though, more hit n run style play and easier to solo in.

  • @stanger828

While a Sniper fit apoc will "eat you face off" by just keeping range and sniping ur ass from 150km off. lol

  • @stanger828 If I'm tackled and/or not on a gate. snipers need a support fleet to be useful. Don't forget about a cloak possibly getting me a warp in on your sniper. :p

  • Battle ships are actually pretty rarely used for pvp. most of the fights I have been in it has all been battle cruiser size or smaller. Large turrets have a signature resolution of 400 while cruisers tend to have around a 200 signature radius which means about 50% accuracy not even factoring in accuracy loss from the low tracking speed. The ships you really wanna fly are heavy assault ships or command ships. Just hope you dont mind the crappy insurance...

  • @kurisu925 wtf are you talking about battleships are the main PVP force in 0.0

  • @DesertFox57 Is that why I see nothing but a bunch of heavy assault ship fleets every where I go? Yea battleships are used only as snipers by most groups. I am looking at trying to boost thier accuracy to the point that a close range high dps battle ship fleet will be flyable.Infact all I have to do now is put the fleet I have developed sofar to the test.

  • @kurisu925 Have you tried taking space using HAC's? It doesnt work.

  • @DesertFox57 they use hacs for every thing but taking space. And the only reason why they use battle ships for that is because they don't have to deal with the usual problems of taking too long to lock or being too inaccurate once locked. I am talking fleet against fleet here not fleet against giant structure that they have no chance to miss and can lock onto in no time.

  • @kurisu925 no im sorry but you don't go to take an R64 with a hac gang.

  • @DesertFox57 What part of fleet on fleet dont you get man? the only time you see a battle ship shooting at another fleet they are sniping because they don't know how to deal with the close range guns poor accuracy against smaller ships. Hell they dont even realize that when they are sniping they are really just getting a rediculus bonus to accuracy from thier tracking speed being a hell of a lot higher than thier target's angular velocity.

  • @kurisu925 yeah you are right, you never see RR BS.

  • boring

  • "fire all rail guns!!!" "all of them?!" "yes all 16 of the heavy rail guns!!!" lol jk

  • That is what fear looks like.

  • @G3rq No that would be a titan

  • yer but youv got to remember the shields on the rokh are immense! a raven would be dead long befor the rokh.

  • best ship if fitted with guns

  • heres an ultimate fail buy a dreadnought and fit standard launchers rofllllll

  • yeah but a rokh is a hybrid platform. Hybrids have immense potential for damage at decent ranges. Sure Missiles hit harder on a per hit basis but Hybrids fire 3-4 times faster. Only drawback is the long training time. Im in one but ill be perfecting my gunnery skills for another month or 2

  • @halo2210 My problem with railguns is that they still do bad DPS and their range is often wasted since you can't hold someone down when you're at range. If they had really good tracking, then the lack of damage would be okay, but they don't

  • @halo2210 Actually if you can handle the higher cap use lasers are better. They have more damage both in DPS and volley damage. Also they have a high optimal range the catch is they have low tracking speed but this can be compensated for by using pulse lasers at ranges that far exceed the range of other close range guns. Thier high optimal range means very high accuracy through out most of the range they cover.

  • @halo2210 Try training for matar god, i've got to get BOTH missiles AND projectile weapons! (well for some ships)

  • okay, im considering ditching my raven for a rokh, simply on the grounds that they look cooler and they're subtler. i cant log onto eve because i quit for a short while, but if i have 50m, if i sell my raven and various things on it, would i possibly have enough to buy this and weapons

  • Yes, but believe me, i dont think its a very good idea... Especially since you are probably trained for missiles hence the Raven...

  • yeah you make a good point, im better off staying with a raven to save the hassle of training skills, buying the ship, fitting the ship etc. but out of curiosity, what has better range, launchers vs turrets

  • To be honest, i dont really know, the highest tier i got in Missles is Heavy. So i dont know how far Cruise and such can go... However, when I built my Rokh to be a sniper, i found myself outgunned quite commonly considering that i had to use low damage ammo (Iridium) to get my range high enough. Further more, because its hard to customize your battle, its hard to actually get a Sniping scenario. Alot of people i see fit it with close range Blasters, use shields to get in close, and unleash hell

  • In other words, which truly has better range? Idk, but sometimes the goal isn't to get as much range as possible, especially when, not if, you come up against a smaller ship who can catch up with you. Also I think missles have the smallest damage reduction due to range. I think the longest i got my L Railguns to fire with Iridium was around 100 km. But the damage was a big letdown. Regardless, Caldari specialize in missle boats, typically, those are the better ones to fly, so stay w/ the raven.

  • i see your point there, range can be useless in lots of senarios, especially if the high range goes with the cost of having a low impact on the battle. and as you said, a small, hard to hit ship that can close the range quickly.

thanks again, im pretty convinced ill stay with my raven :)

  • No problem :)

  • The range of Raven's using cruise missiles is immense compared to almost any other ship. That and at the same time they hold on to respectable long ranged damage, much larger than long ranged turrets which don't even shoot half as far.

  • @Rageos bullshit. just medium rails can hit at 70km. heavys can hit at at least 120km. probably more. curise missles dont compare as far as range goes. an rails have decent damage if modded an trained right.

  • I think you'll find that it's not bullshit, considering a cruise missile launcher on a raven can go 253km without any rigs and still do outstanding damage.

    450dps, 253km range.

  • i seriously doubt that. take a vid an post it.

  • I take it you're pretty new to EVE. Don't worry I mean no offense but you should use a program called EFT (Eve Fitting Tool) to plan out and compare ship fits and modules. My Raven fires at 210km and my skills with Caldari ships are adequate if anything, with all skills at level V the maximum range of a cruise missile with tech 1 ammo is 253km.

  • my msitake. u are correct. i asked one of my PVP buddies an tehy said that cruise missles will reach over 200KM. an i am realitively new to EVE joined my first corp 2 weeks ago an am flyin BCs. so i havent had much expierance with BSes yet. but i would like to expend my apologies in your favor.

  • @RealisticSigma No mate cruise missiles can go that far, however it takes them a long time to get there,

  • probably not, my fit has an estimated cost of 200m and some change

  • i just really like my mega thrawn god how i waited for that ship but the key is build up you skills so the first time you take it out of the hangar you dont get pwned right away

  • ive been playing the trial for 4 days and im already in a cruiser. wll i di play the trial account 5 time before that but i think im gona go for a subcription this time lol. I want a Rokn so bad but there like 150,000,000isk, its so dam expensive.

  • I have one, they're fucking huge ^^

  • I've played for a couple of months (I don't play anymore though), and 150 million aren't hard to get. It's a bit boring though.

  • whats your best way to get 150mil, i get 10mil rating and hours at the most, and dont bother saying if its minning lol

  • i did missions and got discounts from the corporation. I don't remember if i got 10 mil per hour but at that rate i'd say it would be very easy to get 150mil.

  • Comment removed

  • imo the raven is a good bs but i prefer to get the rokh as my first bs,i should get my rokh and equip it well soon even tho im only a 6 week old player just due to the fact ive got a miner alt to make some mega isk.

  • fly a raven, trust me. Rokhs are amazing ships and I use mine for a lot of things, but as far as general use go's Ravens are better all around ships.

  • Not necessarily, when you have the skills, the rokh is going to be the quicker mission runner, with better dps. Ravens are flavor of the years anyways, everyone gets them

  • 6 weeks old and getting in a battleship? Really? Can you even use large guns? Extra large shield boosters, invulnerability fields, magnetic field stabalizers, drones?

I love killing people who are all "OMG GOTTA GET INTO A BATTLESHIP ASAP I CANT LOSE IN A BATTLESHIP" -- I could kill your battleship with a frigate no problem, I've done it before to new player in battleships, trust me, go for cruisers and while you're in cruisers, work up your skills for a battleship.

  • lol i remember that feeling.

  • i say get to BC as soon as u can and stay there till u get well trained in supporting skills. BC's are the first level in ships where your skills really come out and shine. but yeah...anyone can come out the gate and fly a BS. question is can they keep it.

  • All your doing is putting yourself in a bigger more expensive target.

  • Im new to eve and will be playing again soon so dont mind me if this is a stupid question. Rokh is a Caldari ship, Caldaris are focused on missles, so doesnt that mean that the Rokh = Bad? 0_o I get it might be good for another race who uses lots of hybrids but then the rokh is focused on shields too since its a Caldari ? I'm still trying to ofigure out all the racial benefits and stuff so this is probably a bunch of nonsense.

  • It's not like each race is only proficient with one type of weapon. There are 3 Caldari battleships. The Rokh, The Raven, and the Scorpion.

Each Battleship has it's "common fit". The Rokh is designed for turrets. That's it's calling. Straight up turrets. The Raven is more suited for distance missile barrage, or close up Torpedo pwning.

The scorpion is a ship designed for Electronic Warfare. Jamming, Scramming, Webbing, dampening. It screws people up while they take damage from others.

  • you can stick missiles onto a rokh as well as rails, can be useful.. although an 8 425mm rail sniperokh is lethal

  • i love my rokh

    8 425mm t2 railguns is nice.

  • i have a Rokh, and almost all lvl5 gunnery, its mean setup with t2 blasters or t2 railguns.

  • I did a similar thing, but the Rokh had mining lasers on it instead. It looked soo cool.

  • i see u have a heal bot in the backround, i have that with me when im out on huge mission

  • And, idk, 50M for insurance?

I never bought a rokh, raven outperforms it for missioning and for pvp, im a long way away from flying BS.

  • A rokh has a much higher damage output, slap a faction tracking comps (around 40 million) and it will outclass the raven against kin weak NPCs.

  • Sry, make that 20M for fitting.

  • i started eve yesterday and this ship is one of the reasons why :D i wanna konw how long i must play to earn enough :P

  • It will take you about 150M and another 10 or so for okish fitting, that's excluding rigs.

Add a few more months of skill training to be able to do anything with it.

  • 6 months :)

  • If anything it looks like a giant combat shotgun .

  • this is my favorite ship i have one its nothin like a train O.o i wreck guys all day with it if i want

  • Ever see Back to the future 3, near the end the Doc has that hovering train....Well the Rohk was he's next creation.

  • Is it just me, or does the Rokh look like a giant, flying train?

  • It's made for steamrolling bitches, yo?

  • its not just you lol

  • That's like someone saying I'll sell you 100 dollars for 30 dollars and someone saying,"That's too much!"

  • What do fittings have to do with insurance? You pay 1/3 of the cost of the payout. If your ship blows up you make money. Pretty easy to understand imo.

  • When you have faction fittings it's a f'ckin waste of ISK to insure your ship.

  • I find you logic disturbing and would like to ask you to stfu and get a clue

  • love the music dude

  • oh, and MAJOR LOL @ the moron that says he doesn't insure his battleship because it costs too mutch... what a RETARD!...

  • Pimped faction and T2 ships cost a lot. And if you have a lot of them... Why pay 50-200 mil a month to uphold insurances that will only pay you 20-100 mil in case of a loss of a 400-1300 mil ship? I don't insure my ships either. Neither will you when you get there.

  • I was talking about T1 ships, not t2, i have a Machariel myself and i still insure the thing >.>

  • if you pvp most people have as a basic rule to insure any ship (any ship that is not cheap ^^)that they are going to take out on an op or pvp trip solo or any pvp activity

for missions its pretty useless to insure your ships unless you do them in low sec or get killed often in missions

Vermilliontea, i only insure my ship just before i go out to pvp and usually then use that same ship for the next pvp things untill i lose it, therefore not making it a waste of ISK

  • lol @ rokh best ship in the game...NOT!

You guys are acting like the type of newbs i kill eeeeevery single day....

The "OMG MY FIRST BATTLESHIP1111111oneoneoneone!" type of guys :D

Thank you for the easy 0.0 Solo killmails tho :D

  • haha lol, let them have their fun, we all had that same moment for one or another ship...

and as for best ship in the game, there is none, every ship in eve has strenghts and weaknesses

the rohk however is the best hybrid sniper platform, atleast that is what most people say :P (i was not very impressed with its DPS at with sniper build, but then again i only have 1mil in gunnery)

  • What do you recomend for a good PVP battleship?

I hear the Maelstrom with 800mmII's is ultimate pew pew

  • Well it depends, I own a Rohk and its a great sniping ship n such, big boom n all so whether u like getting into the fray or camping and shooting from 90k away, its all up 2 u

  • or, 170km, or 220km, lol

  • Mega, hands down the gank megathron with blasters and orge's is a beast. Either that or a fleet raven with torps. Depends on what role you want, damage = raven, mega, apoc or mealstrom. tank you want a rokh or domi

  • a Hyperion can churn out more damage than a Megathron

  • yes but without the tracking bonus it doesnt hit that well, and dont believe all that EFT says cause a ship with neutrons does more dps in EFT but a ship with ion's in rl will pwn that neutron fitted ship

  • It's all situational Michael. Hyperions are awesome and Megathrons are awesome too. Either one works to be honest, but the Hype is more of a strictly "shoot other battleships or battlecruisers w/ big sig radiuses" ship.

  • ive now got t2 tank and large guns and it can hold its own but i might get a raven next but thats a big maybe

  • yea pretty much your a retard if you don't insure your ship because you WILL lose it unless your a empire space noob lol

  • got a better ideea :) try the hyperion out then come with the fraze : best bs ever etc when u will rep like 2k+ armor you will go zomg

  • one of the most beautiful ships in eve... AND I GOT IT WOOHOOO!!!

  • I want one Sooooooooo badly. its going to be my first Battle ship.

  • good luck, its expensive

  • your telling me. I have 100mill and i'm still short like 50mill. its so hard to get. i'm planning on just selling everything i have in like 50 systems.

  • you could do that, but thats 150mil for the ship, then youll need to fit the ship, and you can count in another 100mil for that

  • Insurance too.

  • insurance is useless, youll only lose isk with that, count it out

  • Um...........

    Ok.. lets see...

150m for a Rokh. 50m for insurance which pays 150m. 100m for fitting. 300m total

Upon destruction, you lose: 200m for the Rokh and the insurance. 100m for fitting. 300m total.

But you get: 150m in insurance. So in the end, you lose 150m

No insurance means: 150m for the Rokh. 100m for fitting. 250m total.

Upon destruction you lose: 150m for the Rokh. 100m for fitting. 250m total. You get nothing back

So in the end, you lose 250m

    Last time I check, 250 > 150.

  • I GOT IT. IT TOOK ALOT OF RATTING AND A LUCKY BOUNTY KILL ON SOME PIRATE BUT I GOT MY ROKH!!!!! THE BEST SHIP IN TE GAME!!!

Able to tank more then most tech2 ships. Large turret so powerful they shake ships with every shot the only problem i have with it is when the ships get too close but i fixed that.

  • Damn, now you make me want to get my Armageddon, but I need more skills for it.

  • yea... is a cool ship.... but this vid is BOOOOOOOWRING

  • this video sucks

  • One of my favorite ships :3
