@platmosic When Mr. Fazioli visited Vancouver, he recommended that I bring in the Grotrian uprights from Germany. Mr. Fazioli said these were some of the best uprights available in the world!! i brought some in and i totally agree!!
Come on a MILLION dollars for a piano!!!! I'd have to try it out and sample some other $100,000 piano's and see the difference to the $1 Million $ one. And if I am totally satisfied. Then GREAT ! But I don't have $1 Million to spend.... so all I can say is ... It was great play'in ya!
Most of the 'million dollar pianos' you hear about are actually only a $100,000 piano in a designer art case. Some have precious stones or have extremely intricate wood work, but the sound or the touch of the piano is likely identical to the plain black $100,000 version....
my piano teacher has got a fazioli (lucky me) every time i go to the lessons i am so happy that i have the chance to play on that perfect instrument...
The Fazioli is definitely the only musical instrument I've ever seen written up on the JuliB website! (for those who don't know, they normally run more towards fine dining, luxury travel, designer clothes)
I played Angela Hewitt's FAZIOLI 10' 2" Grand after she had just finished playing Bach's WTC book II. It was the greatest piano I have ever played in my life. The video is in the related video section and it's called, Me improvising on Angela Hewitt's FAZIOLI 10' 2" Grand Piano.
She played Steinway and Sons in WTC series... but she is great pianist. If only Fazioli has verticals.

I love Fazioli, since my first exposure at the 1994 Gina Bachauer Piano competition, I've been transfixed.
