  • Yes!

  • Such emotionally Charged music with the tension between he and she singing. Shakespear like with eternal questions first posed as "Is this the end, has our time come and gone", but at the end of the song he queries "Is this the end ?"......

  • saw it on muchmusic a long time ago. still a favourite. whatever happened to these guys

  • I remember seeing these guys at edgefest in Barrie before they had signed a deal on a stage they built themselves in a field. That is when i feel in love with this song. Long live The Dears

  • How good they were together.

  • this was the first dears song i heard, love the vid, love the crazy whirling with organs droning in the background.

@protecter77 check out the view at 4:26, that's a dead giveaway.

  • wow. im done

  • i remember this vid, good shit

  • I wonder if Murray is a cheery, half glass full kind of guy ;-)

  • @luyendao

    One can only hope.

  • how old is murray>?? it's not that important but i've been curious for a while...

  • he needs orthodontics

  • jajajajaj. lo necesita, pero igual pasa...

  • i hate this miserable fucking video already.

    oh, i love you murray

  • i got to say this is just spectacular , impressive, briliant, bravo, rockon bonzo76!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow... didn't know they had videos from that early.

  • You can see Olympic Stadium in the background. :) Murray rulez.

  • I love this song, but he needs some braces :\ . . .

  • How in the Hell did you find this? This is by far my favorite Dears song and now a video to go with it. You have made my week. I am a PHiladelphia with family in Montreal and the scenes of Montreal bring back some great memories. Awesome video. Murray is great it it

  • I caught the video on Musique Plus back in 2000. Glad someone uploaded it.

  • Great song, great band. When my friend first played The Dears for me, I got chills and could not believe that a band could be so amazing. (The song was "There Is No Such Thing As Love" -- epic song.)

  • Wow, yours is the first positive message I've seen in a while. Yes, I do agree that The Dears are totally amazing. Sadly enough, a good 80% of the population (at least on YT) doesn't agree with either of us.

  • Yup!. I'm officially a Dear's fan.

  • Holy crap. Where was I when this was released? Now, I really wish MuchMusic was played in the states.

  • I love this album but I really want to see the video for Heartless Romantic again because that was a great song and video that vanished.

  • Had an urge to see this video again, and saw that some were unfamiliar with this video, or wanted to see others. Much Music's website has all their videos, including Heartless Romantic, This is a Broadcast, and my personal fav, Don't Lose the Faith.

  • So I went to Much Music full of hope and longing. I found the video page and pressed play only to get a message that said, "Sorry, you're not in Canada. Blame the lawyers." I remember when the video disappeared from a website I used to watch it on. Legal boundaries often harm artists in the long run, but I always catch The Dears when they play near me. Last year I saw them in the front row of a little theater and it was great.

  • good you know why, because I can't see videos from America on MTV. SO GOOOOOOOOOOOD

  • That's not why. You're just watching the wrong channel. They don't have music on MTV where you live. That's because Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission have imposed regulations on channel format. MuchMusic is THE ONLY English language channel that can be devoted to music and music related programming in Canada. MTV Canada has never promised you music. The MTV Canada logo doesn't even have the words Music Television on it like it does everywhere else in the world.

  • wow, then they shouldn't have called it MTV, but I've seen that happen before, companies in Japan, that are not evevn American anymore, have American labels, thanks for the info

  • your ignorance never ceases to amaze me. what else are you ignorant about? did you know that the sun rises from the east? did you know that 2+2=4? did you know that you are a useless half black/half korea muntard? lol

  • munMORON is a homo.

  • and you guys are worse lol

  • met him lat year, great guy acctually

  • If not for the posting of this video on this site I never would've heard of the Dears. I'm very grateful =o

  • wow....that was so long ago...yet it used to be so new....

    uhhhh

  • Yeah... I used to put this on every mixtape I made in grade school.

  • i remember this video. i love it, song's amazing too

  • I totally agree with every work the guy before me said. I love this video and song

  • This was the first video of theirs that I saw. I remember thinking they were a British band.

  • WOW! I want to say a big THANKS for posting this video. Possibly the best Canadian band ever...and possibly their best song. I've been searching for this video for years. Thank-you!!!
