After what felt like an okay but lazy first opening, then a worse second opening with a song that annoyed me, this happened.

I got slapped in the face with such an epic-ly and masterfully put together opening that I instantly forgave the fact it had zero new content on the spot, and it gave me hope for the future of the show's openings.

Those hopes did not go unfulfilled, as the fourth was good, and the fifth even better.

Still, this has the most EPIC song of them all I'd say.

So much win.

@Gamergirl181 The ending didn't require Lelouch to DIE, it required for people to think he died. And more importantly, that Zero killed him.

If he came back as a figure, and entered back into the public eye, THAT would ruin everything.

Reusing the setting and some other characters we've grown to love wouldn't be too bad, nor would a prequel hurt anything in my opinion.

Even if people knew that Lelouch was behind it, they'll rally behind a new Zero who rids them of the Tyrant. I.E., Suzaku.

I think Lelouch is alive. He doesn't seem the type to actually sacrifice himself, but he did more or less in that he can never be Lelouch again.

This is by far the best opening. I'm actually kind of glad that they only put it on the last two episodes of R1. Somehow, that makes it more special in my eyes. The ending of the first season of such an incredible anime got its own song, and a beautiful one at that.

Best opening of the series since it clearly displays the emotions at play, it shows the battle lines are drawn, and that, for lack of a better term, "thing got real". For me, this evokes some serious emotion. A+ series that blows gundam out of the water.

Speaking of Code Geass, did you ever notice how the plot elements are kinda similar to classic English literature.

Most obvious is the legend of King Arthur, and the Knights of the Round Table. The names of knights are used alot.

Also, Suzaku and Euphemia are kinda like Romeo and Juliet, two lovers who were separated by a conflict between their families.

My favorite is the Macbeth reference; a man who makes a deal with a witch in order to become king, A.K.A. Lelouch and C2.

Lelouch only told the police to shoot him, when he should of told them to kill him, but the police(i believe) ended up taking him to a britannian hospital where they were able to save him through their advanced medical technology. if Lelouch would of told the police to kill him, he would of been dead. Fine my reasons given may not all be accurate, but there is no R3 coming out. The so called 3rd season coming out is the anime version of the Spin-off manga "Knightmare of Nunnally". Lelouche died in the original manga as well so you can't argue with that. "Knightmare of Nunnally" is a different thing completely, just as "Suzaku of the Rebellion" is, as they are Spin-offs.

And why would Lelouch be in her head if he died?
