@Thegreyraccoon From lightening. Lightening temperature is estimated between 30,000 to 50,000F. When lightening strikes it instantly heats the surrounding air causing it to expand instantly which sends out a shock wave (thunder.) In short; thunder is caused by the rapid heating and cooling of air around the lightening strike.
@Thegreyraccoon God's wrath........ the sound is caused by the air being heated up at rapid speeds from the lightning....thats why you see lightning first, always.
