This is SO awesome! Paul wrote this song as a teenager and was playing it between takes while filming the movie "Fame." The director, Alan Parker, liked it so much that he wrote it into the movie. I never thought I'd hear another rendition of it, so this is quite a treat. THANK YOU!!!

Thank you for posting this video. Had never heard this song before the last episode of Harry's Law... the voice of the artist carried the same elements of James Taylor's voice.I wish NBC would air the recording of this song from Harry's Law. I also listened to Paul Maccrane's performance, but it does not affect me as much as "puck"'s version.

His voice improved with age and weight gained while maturing from a boy to a man. This is better than the original! Huge fan! I grew up in the Berkshires and heard James Taylor live more times than I can count. Paul McCrane sounds like Paul McCrane; not James Taylor.

"Fame" soundtrack was very meaningful to me in my coming-of-age years in college, and "Is It OK..." was always one of the most comforting and cathartic tunes. Right before Paul started singing tonight on "Harry's Law" I wondered if he would do this song. But I figured, "Nah, that tune's 30 years old and he's probably got a lot of other songs he'd like to do." Very pleasantly surprised when he launched into the familiar lyric...
