  • I know Paul McCrane from 'Wiseguy' (TV show)...fine actor and writer.

  • I would have really loved to see the WHOLE song being sung. This song was a break through song for me those years ago. Thanks though..

  • he has an honest face and voice ♥..thumbs up f u agree

  • Hasn't lost the beat! Talent!

  • This is SO awesome! Paul wrote this song as a teenager and was playing it between takes while filming the movie "Fame." The director, Alan Parker, liked it so much that he wrote it into the movie. I never thought I'd hear another rendition of it, so this is quite a treat. THANK YOU!!!

  • Paul Mc Crane is a wonderful actor, director, singer and friend!!!

  • i just listen to the real version of this song its gd but this guy sounds so much better any 1 know how to get his version????

  • Thank you for posting this video. Had never heard this song before the last episode of Harry's Law... the voice of the artist carried the same elements of James Taylor's voice.I wish NBC would air the recording of this song from Harry's Law. I also listened to Paul Maccrane's performance, but it does not affect me as much as "puck"'s version.

    With eternal Gratitude,

    Persian Limoo

  • @persianlimoo

Puck is played by Paul McCrane... it's probably why they worked the song into the show. Both of his versions, separated by decades, are fantastic.

  • @persianlimoo When i just didn't know how to express myself, I read your comment and said: "Is that person reading my mind?" You just got it. Great comment, great song, but even greater version. Hope the DVD comes out with the full recording

And thanks mary2006er for the uploading.

  • @persianlimoo Type the title of this song into the youtube search bar... You get this guy, Paul McCrane singing this song some 31 years ago. Hes in the movie Fame, playing the young gay guy. With a headfull of red hair, I might add.

  • @persianlimoo First sung on the Original FAME soundtrack Sung by the same guy.

  • Too bad you didn't get the whole song, this version for Harry's Law was AWESOME! The older version was good too, but this one was much better. I wish you could buy it on itunes or amazon!

You should go upload the whole song and repost it.

  • His voice improved with age and weight gained while maturing from a boy to a man. This is better than the original! Huge fan! I grew up in the Berkshires and heard James Taylor live more times than I can count. Paul McCrane sounds like Paul McCrane; not James Taylor.

  • I just about fell over when I heard this, had no idea he could sing.. so beautiful. I don't understand why he didn't have a big recording career. Glad I'm not the only one who was moved by seeing this on Harry's Law enough to look it up and discover the full version. NICE!

  • Thanks so much mary2006er for loading this clip of this song. I wish we could hear the whole song. I love Harry's Law, I love music and when he sang this song, I was so amazed! He sounds just like James Taylor. I was so surprised that so many people have already heard the song and posted their version. I will totally learn this song now. All kinds of strange people have been giving their strange opinions about Harry's Law but Harry and this show are teaching Attys that it is not about the money!

  • I hope Paul McCrane "puck" goes back to the studios and record this version. Please don't cancel Harry's Law!!. Love the show.

  • I thought he might he might do another new song. But I was so freakin surprised to see him launch into "is it ok...". And he sounded great. Hope he's a regular next season. And maybe he'll do another song.

  • "Fame" soundtrack was very meaningful to me in my coming-of-age years in college, and "Is It OK..." was always one of the most comforting and cathartic tunes. Right before Paul started singing tonight on "Harry's Law" I wondered if he would do this song. But I figured, "Nah, that tune's 30 years old and he's probably got a lot of other songs he'd like to do." Very pleasantly surprised when he launched into the familiar lyric...

  • @TurnersTwoCents hey me too! For a second I entertained that thought, esp. with the guitar but mentally laughed at myself for thinking that. Lo and behold!!!

  • so sooooo sweet. I loved Fame so much and loved his character.

He still has such a lovely voice

  • Where can i find this version of this song at???

  • Such a wonderful moment! I always wondered why he didn't sing more when he's on tv shows.

  • @JillyX... Well he did sing on Cop Rock. Youtube... "Skin Like Satin"
