The comparison is implied by the political staging of the event. That's why I used the word "subliminal". The events that the news outlets (such as AP) choose to report on are intended to shape public opinion - and every politician knows it, most especially the President of the United States. Obama is unproven. To compare him to Lincoln at this point in his presidency is not only premature, it's bordering on propaganda. That's the problem that I had with this particular "news" report.
