I will cherish this awesome victory for ever.this is my motivation I use when I'm feeling down in the dumps.feeling that pressure of life. An all out blitz of stress ,coming full speed down hill, shooting the A gap, ready to lay the wood on me. I just close my eyes, rewind this awesome memory, clamp down, with a clinch fist ready to lock and load, one speed, one gear go.show no quit, but defend then attack, no retreat that's whack, but be a champion, and win it like Gold Medalist Jason Lezak!
Although this was the Beijing Olympics and NOT a dual in the pool, Lezak's performance must go down as one of the greatest feats in athletic (if not just swimming) history. I've watched that race about 30 times and I get excited every time. What is really great is that Lezak KEEPS ON WINNING! LOL Now, for those of you Americans who relate better to yards, Lezak's 46.06 LCM split converts to a yard time of, are ya ready? 39.75 SCY! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! (I used the Swimming World converter)

@academicjock Most USA swimming is in meters :) but yes, he was absolutely impossibly incredible in that race. 46 second 100 LCM mind=blown

For American SC Yard swimmers, Lezak's 46.06 for 100 LC Meters converts to a 39.75 for 100 yards!!!!!

If you pay close attention, at 2:56, Lezak started to catch up as soon as Dan Hicks said the words "they should get the silver medal". Thrilling!
