Beleive me, in the last 15 years ive tried EVERYTHING, son t agro 400's are the best all rounders, mount them sideways, 30% more light to the plants, tested on lightmeter, a pound a light on average, ,also , keep root temp about 19,20 celcius , at 23 they nearly stop growing, forget about co2 as well, it works but its too much hassle, also, the best nutrients are Dutch Master gold range with add27 and liquid light. you can see them growing flat out. bloody word limit!! anytime mate:)

@ganjasmokintildeath Mate, high pressure sodium bulbs are all you need, just as good as halide but perfect for flowering too!! Plants are slightly taller but just as dense, and branch growth can be controlled to be what you want!! TRAINING is the key[branches, not jogging,lol] you dont want too many leaves, trimming is a pain, course you have to have enough, DONT pick leaves unless their dead or, you have plenty and their blocking light from forming buds, CAREFUL!!! one set bulbs, CHEAPER>

@ganjasmokintildeath Mate, halide is a waste of money, sodium is all you need. Branchier is a word, and branching is controlled by manipulation, once their big enough wagon wheel the branches, then they turn into a hedge that presents much more of the plant to light, watch em go then!!! Stuff the converter rubbish, just go sodium, but, keep away from the more orange ones. Son-t-agro are tops! :)

@ncrazyballa Design your own system, its much cheaper and better, i use white roof cladding and pots of geolite[orange balls] in a recirculating system, nutrients are pumped up the table which is on a slight slope and fed to plants by 5 mil lines, then they run down to a gutter and back to resovoir, advantage is you can move plants around as you need, and cheap compared to what you can buy. Waste of money otherwise, most commercial systems are designed to take your money. I find this best:)

@VVeeB Spidermites is a small issue for people who go into other gardens like outdoor then in there grow room, Normally not a problem But if you do mess up and get em, Ladybugs is the solution..

possibly leafcoat by biobizz is a good solution to keep em from feeding on plant

@1984LizardKing both methods can be used. I put them in rockwool.soil as soon as the seed germinates and sprout under florecents, transfer to MH after 1 week. some prefer to sprout in total darkness, then turn on the lights. check out my seedling vid

You may need too weaken your final stage feed a little as this will reduce the yellowing of your leaf in the last three weeks of flowering and make it easier to flush your plants before you cut them down and dry them , For a first attempt at hydroponic growing an excellent effort ,Good luck with your future crops .

I recommend using beneficial microbials called Mighty Crobes from sierra chemical company (. com). This stuff helps out your roots a ton. I use it for all my indoor crops and especially cuttings. Great inoculant and lasts up to a year.
