@xXKittyxCat I saw this movie, one character really got my goat; the eldest daughter who kept talking about wanting to return to be with her sweetheart, one that she wanted to marry but HELLO!!! There is no single marriage in a freakin polygamy compound for pete's sake.

Polygamy isn't for ne I don't agree with the religion of these people. However we shouldn't take their religious freedom away, if we allow gay rights, then polygamists have rights too.
@savedbygrace1972 Polygamists fight for the rights to have the state recognize they want to have multiple sexual partners like sluts do. Gays fight for the rights to have the state recognize their monogamous relationship. That is the difference between gay rights and polygamist rights
I saw this movie on lifetime and i admired the mothers courage to get her family the hell out of there. I dont think i would have such a problem with polygamy if everyone was treated on equal grounds and people werent forced to marry people they didnt want to
@thena107 I think this story was loosely based on Carolyn Jessop's book as well as the stories of others, who managed to get away. If you have time you should also read books by Irene Spencer and Elissa Wall. Look up Flora Jessop, too.
I do not attend church, but I would like to , so I would consider myself a christian. I wished to post this video because what we hear from the media about the escaped women telling their stories makes me think life inside these compounds is like this. But I am open to the idea that it is not what the media says. This was more of a fan video for this movie also.
@RebiTitanic you do not have to belong to a group or follow a doctrine to follow the example & teachings of Christ... everything else is man made and not entirely true... the scripts included in the cannon were chosen for unification purposes in Europe... I was once like you.... not involved in a church... but wanting to... religion & religious gathering places are humans doing, churches are places to gather with like minded people, not places for intrusion and control... love to you
This kind of Polygamy denies women the right to vote, the right to choose, owning property, etc.
