I have the same model TL, I live in Arizona, 173k miles, my wheels seem to shake too when I brake after highway speeds, new rotors fixed your problem? The leather on the doors in my TL are also falling apart, is there a fix for that?

Yup, usually the front rotors are warped and they cause the vibration. Replacing them is the way to go, dont cut them, it will just them thinner and they will warp even quicker. I dont know how to fix the leather? Replacing it would be my guess? Is your transmission original?
