@keetao1977Mark 8 18-21 18Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember? 19When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve. 20And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven. 21And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?
Being raised down south (ATL Ga) with older parents I grew up with this kind of music Sam Cooke & The Soul Stirrers, Mahalia Jackson, also blues music. I'm glad movies like "The Ladykillers" help keep music like this alive. You can tell by his voice that Sam Cooke was born in the south.
" When I do good, I feel good; when I do bad, I feel bad, and THAT is my religion" A.Lincoln. I too am an atheist but my, my is there magic to this song! I'm with you on that one audi183
Thomas A. Dorsey who wrote this piece had his National Convention of Choirs and Choruses sing this tune. I cannot find it on YouTube yet, but it is a beautiful choir song.
@audi183 That's a sign God is real my friend. Have just a small amount of faith and then pray to God and he will increase it. I promise you! How does faith come? Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (The Holy Bible) There are a lot of crazies out there that give the church of God a bad name like that whole doomsday sect etc. but seek out a true Bible teaching church and you will get the truth.
This song is in no way LONG ENOUGH. I know people bitch about the stereotype of heaven being an endless hymn session, but if this is what we're singin', I'm there.
Ladykillers sent me here!

The most amazing thing is that there is no single instrument used in this song. Masterpiece. Watch the movie "Ladykillers". One of Hanks' best roles.
