@dogdays6708 It took me about six weeks to do this one. I rip the dvd's of the movie im doing into mpeg segments, usually by chapters, and go thru the entire movie and pick out the scenes, images or audio i want to use, then splice them all together with the music i choose to use, then go thru and do timing edits, making certain scenes happen with the beat of the music or other cinematic effects :) I actually have a new trailer that I am releasing tomorrow :)

@whsiriotx Everything you see here was plucked straight out of the movie. Ive seen a few trailers with scenes that Ive never seen before, I wish they came out with some sort of special edition dvd with all of them in the special features like they did with Titanic.

@C1NEMAGIC Isnt EVERY fanmade trailer made up of trailer and movie clips? As i said to someone else, half the trailer was edited myself. I picked clips from the movie, chose the music, cut and spliced it all together. whether 100% of it was mine or not, I still put a week of editing and time into it myself. Thank you for your input, now piss off.

@colinjina My trailers are not made out of trailer clips, they are more original (I Think =P)

However it is a good learning expierence to look at official trailers to see how they are build but this tends to make me copy the official trailer rather then creating an original one =P

I haven't seen the original but I liked yours a lot. =D

@RensvdMeijs The first half of this trailer is primarily clips from one of the original trailers, I just moved a few scenes around. The second half with the more epic music is what I put together myself with raw footage from the movie itself. The rest of my videos are all original work that Ive edited and timelined myself.

@SOLODOG63 Hey! I think Poseidon is still worth seeing. Excellent FX. Like Colin says, not heart pounding, but some horribly claustrophobic moments. One scene in a flooding vent is awful! Good awful. And drowning is just an awful way to die and I think they capture that well. EEK!
