Hi people! I have a band and we are trying to get noticed! We write our own songs by our selves and when we record in studios we do NOT use auto tune. Also, when we play live we do NOT lip sync.... just like the old days. We our going to put our songs up on our channel, some guitar and bass lessons here and there and some contests/giveaways where you can win some gear. PLEASE, visit our channel, subscribe and leave a comment. It would be much appreciated. Thanks.
@bitethis47 In this solo you have to perform Hammer Ons and Pull Offs and thats hard on a Acoustic Guitar and you have to do it fast. I say for acoustic a 8.5 for a average guitarist
ur video is gr8 it will be asa hint to me for this solo people should not compare u with jimmy page coz there is only one jimmy page in this whole universe
It's not your fault but when i hear a load of numbers i kind of tune out because it sounds a bit complicated and too much like math. Do you think you could add TABS to this sometime please mate?
Hey guys whats up? First off nice video man! second anyone who sees this check out my stairway to heaven video and drop a comment and rate it 1-10!! Thanks guys
Man you are legend here on the tube... and this was nicely done. You probably have 100 million hits on your page. Guitar lessons definitely generate a lot. My most popular video is also a Stairway to Heaven guitar solo lesson with tabs. But I only have 250,000 hits. Anyway... keep rocking man
Thanx Bobby. For those who appreciate your time and effort, we will continue to play music with joy and commitment until we get this amazing song down. All of every word, note, and strum will be utilized in finding what worx for us observers of string. On behalf of the passionate guitar community.
for godsake how can anyone say anything bad about this guy, he's teaching you how to play guitar for free, who cares it doesnt sound 100% like jimmy page, they just dont like him cause hes a nice person and people just dont have anything to do with their time but trolling. If u dont like it, dont watch them or better do one ur self. Freakin assholes
The timing is off on a lot of the riffs. Severe rushing around 0:53 And various other parts. The first riff should be even eighth notes, I think you're compacting the rhythm into something more complex than it is. It's just straight eighths. There are a few other parts where you're adding filler notes that shouldn't be there like the riff starting at exactly 1:00, you're adding a set of triplets there that should just be a quarter note followed by 4 eighths.
Hi Bob, I`d like to say a big thank you for all the time and trouble that you`ve gone to, sharing your knowledge and experience. Trying to learn from tabs before the invention of the internet was pretty grim, so to be able to hear, see the tab, and play along is a huge benefit for frustrated learner guitarists everywhere. You`re a star in your own right. Thanks and please continue with the lessons !!!
wow thanks Bobby! the video was great except for the last riff(riff3) which was really long and it got me confused! just a tip maybe you should have split the last riff into 2? Anyway still this tutorial is awesome.I probably got confused because i am just entering the intermediate stage.
@sealz18 If you are a beginner than start off with more simple things. If you haven't already learnt the A minor pentatonic, than do it because the solo runs through it quite a bit. Memorize the solo, and then practice slow, speed up with time until you can do it at the right speed. Practice practice practice dude. Bobby is a good teacher, you just have to be attentive with your eyes and ears, which can be hard if you are a beginner who relies on tabs.
Weird because BobbyCrispy taught me this song with this lesson ( all 3 videos). Maybe you need to try something a little easier before you learn this one because it's pretty basic.
@ZZbottom230 are you kidding you just dont understand opinions prick im not tthe best guitarist ever but im good and in my opinion i would have liked it slower and speaking! thats the way i learn so dont be a prick
Bobby, will you ever do 'Cryin in the Rain' from Skyes 85' live solo? I cannot find the tab to this amazing solo, and it's driving me crazy, since there is so much double tapping going on, and it's impossible to pick up exact notes, when this occurs. Thanks.
the key to nailing this solo is to play it cleanly and slow over and over(don't go all add like with it..lol, it will sound like a mess), until you know each part, by heart. Then speed up each part, until you add more speed to it, making sure it still sounds fluid and clean.
It just takes practice, over and over, and finially it will just come natural to you.
Also, take each part one at a time, adding to the solo, piece by pice, until you finally got it down. Practice over and over.
Pretty Cool lesson here, Covers the topic quite well. Ive just made a bunch of detailed courses for beginners and advanced guitarists that you might be interested in. Check it out! would love to know what you and anyone watching this video thinks. Its totally free, and i mean TOTALLY
@dgttm74 This guitar solo is based on the minor pentatonic scale (in A minor), with the occasional appearance of the "F" note. Just type "minor pentatonic scale" in the search field, and you'll see quite a few tutorials on this.
This is the best tutorial I have seen on this song, VERY easy to follow and hey once you catch the pattern you can try to play it just like Jimmy Page. Thanks man!!! Relly enjoyed it.
@0plmkoijn0 If they are wrong, or are teaching you poor techniques that are incredibly difficult to un-learn, free lessons could be disliked in many scenarios. Fortunately, in this video there isn't really anything bad about it, apart from the solo being pretty inaccurate.
@donphonica@MrReviewsHD yeah but i would only dislike it if i was paying anything for it...other than that i wont like or dislike...plus you can do what i did and make a couple small changes so its right.......
hey bobby, i know how to play this solo literally by heart, but is there any tricks i can use so i can speed the solo up. i can play it, but like really slowly. do u have any tips for solos that could help me. thanks man, and awesome video ! greetings from spain!
@GuitarAfroDude Hey, i'm not as good as bobby (I'm learning the solo right now too) but i made the experience that practice is the key to it all.If you already have the feeling just literally practice it for about a 100 times or so and you'll see how much faster you get. I always do that while watching TV- I unplug my guitar and i play it (bit by bit) over and over and over again. I know thats not what you wanted to hear but trust me - its not gonna work any other way. I hope that helps.
HEY! CRISPY! I LOVE YOU, BRA! Loved your lesson on While My Guitar Gently Weeps solo and a few others...don't waste your time explaining yourself to these tools. Just keep 'em coming!

i agree with allrockiscool and fullspectrum. this guy is taking some of his own time to teach us how to play an amazing song so show some respect and common decency to not leave a bad comment on someone whos only tryin to help and in my opinion he is helping alot!
i wanna say that it helps out a lot when you barre the 5th fret during the first lick of the solo. bobby is doing it in the video, but it might not be obvious to someone watching this for the first time. peace & love :)
hey bobby cryspy do you know the dvd of led zeppellin the song remain the same ?? this solo of stairway to heaven is veryy cool really better than the original!! The question is can you make a video lesson of the solo live from the dvd the song remain the same !!!he have a tabs of this solo if you tap stairway to heaven solo LIVE tabs on ultimate guitar i think!!!but me dont understand th tabs maybe you can???? thx
well i am a rangers they are celtics rivals but to be honest i care about music more thn sports i live about 5 mins away from celtic park my uncle stays right next to it in parkhead :)
I've got a Studio just like it, i agree...it is the best guitar. I dont know why, its just the simplicity of it and the awesome mahogany. I wish you could come down to Houston and hang out lol! Love your videos!
@jordidwdw well that's cool, i went backpacking through scotland in 2006 and 2009! search for "bobbycrispy backpacking trip scotland" on youtube if you want to see my photos....i love scotland! my grandmother is from dysart :-)
@jordidwdw yeah, twice...in 2009 my friend in who lives in glasgow drove me around the east side of the city, then took me to the celtics football stadium...the security let us in and we were the only ones in the entire stadium!!
dude, i have learned most of my solos from you, that is how i'm now lead guitarist in a band, thanks to you :D keep doing what you're doing! you've got fans in ireland ! :)
on the first bar of this solo , i can play but VERY Slowly , do u have any tips to speed me up ? im gunna practise more , i just learnt last night , 3am ha ha but i really want to learn this song very well , thank you :)
What equipment do you use for this? Because i only have a squire wannabe strat and a line 6 spider3. I learned it, but the tone doesn't sound right on my equipment.
Great lesson again bobby, dont mind the ignorant people.... they have alot of negativity and such advice on how to improve your playing, but leaves me to wonder why they are watching your tutorials? hmmm. anyhow awesome lesson man

I popped a string playing this (High E String). I'll continue to learn this when I restring my strings. I guess I was rocking out too hard. :p

I've got a Studio just like it, i agree...it is the best guitar. I dont know why, its just the simplicity of it and the awesome mahogany. I wish you could come down to Houston and hang out lol! Love your videos!

What equipment do you use for this? Because i only have a squire wannabe strat and a line 6 spider3. I learned it, but the tone doesn't sound right on my equipment.
Great lesson btw!
