  • thanks for making the vid but it was a bit hard to hear you clearly

  • The tabs were accurate, timing....no...

  • You sound like David Cross

  • lol. i play this on the acoustic like i do on the electric

  • @DavidZelenskiy Great. Post us a video and show us!

  • dude learn some timing that was horrible!

  • out of 10..how hard is this solo played on acoutic..for the average guitarist

  • @bitethis47 In this solo you have to perform Hammer Ons and Pull Offs and thats hard on a Acoustic Guitar and you have to do it fast. I say for acoustic a 8.5 for a average guitarist

  • notes seem be good but the timing is not so.

  • Anyone who's got all the Pentatonics down will find it a lot easier to learn this solo :D

  • pickups to use? excuse my bad translation is because I speak Spanish

  • Stairway to heaven by Queen

  • @gguunnaa Queen?

  • Wish you'd play with rythym... Jesus

  • @ARRRRRRRRFUL

    i know fuck sake haha

  • What guitar is that?

  • You are a genious bobby¡

  • He played that with a telecaster! otherwise great instructional videos.

  • ur video is gr8 it will be asa hint to me for this solo people should not compare u with jimmy page coz there is only one jimmy page in this whole universe

  • you rushing have to pause all the time

  • you rushing have to pause all the time

  • How awkward that marty schwartz is in the tags. 2 of the best guitar teachers on youtube. Anyways, Thanks Bob.

  • Another excellent offering - many thanks mate

  • Where's the TABS Bobby?

It's not your fault but when i hear a load of numbers i kind of tune out because it sounds a bit complicated and too much like math. Do you think you could add TABS to this sometime please mate?

    Peace

  • Hey guys whats up? First off nice video man! second anyone who sees this check out my stairway to heaven video and drop a comment and rate it 1-10!! Thanks guys

  • Where can i get the background music?

  • omg omg got the same guitar like me

  • bobby crispy is the best teacher ever!

  • lost me at rift 3

  • Bobby I am a fan, and I thank you for your patience .

    Tom O Atl Ga

  • thank u so much!!!

  • The more of these I watch the more soothing his voice gets

  • worst rhythm ever on youtube

  • Man you are legend here on the tube... and this was nicely done. You probably have 100 million hits on your page. Guitar lessons definitely generate a lot. My most popular video is also a Stairway to Heaven guitar solo lesson with tabs. But I only have 250,000 hits. Anyway... keep rocking man

  • no rhythm bro

  • CLOSE ENUFF BOBBY! haters gunna hate....

  • This is definitely helping! Thank you Bobby.

Nice and slow... Good lesson! Don't mind what some say, you help a lot!

    Cheers

  • No sense of rythem at all...

  • @djacks04 u twat

  • @djacks04 Rhythm is pretty good it's just the bends that are little off, good lesson.

  • Thumbs up if u hear " charlie Where's my money? " on every video u watch..

  • @erickkneipp HU???????

  • I think you don't need to read the tabs...simply by listening to it people can learn what to do..

  • 225 people gave up on the solo

  • Thanks a bunch... It's kind of hard sometimes matching the tabs with the actual rhythm. This helps./

  • Thanx Bobby. For those who appreciate your time and effort, we will continue to play music with joy and commitment until we get this amazing song down. All of every word, note, and strum will be utilized in finding what worx for us observers of string. On behalf of the passionate guitar community.

  • for godsake how can anyone say anything bad about this guy, he's teaching you how to play guitar for free, who cares it doesnt sound 100% like jimmy page, they just dont like him cause hes a nice person and people just dont have anything to do with their time but trolling. If u dont like it, dont watch them or better do one ur self. Freakin assholes

  • fifth thread fourth first sorry first string eighth fifth fret sorry.... hahaha i can't stop laughing hysterically at that

  • I wish I was you - not so I can play like you, but so I can be called "Bobby Crispy"!

  • i have that guitar!

  • The timing is off on a lot of the riffs. Severe rushing around 0:53 And various other parts. The first riff should be even eighth notes, I think you're compacting the rhythm into something more complex than it is. It's just straight eighths. There are a few other parts where you're adding filler notes that shouldn't be there like the riff starting at exactly 1:00, you're adding a set of triplets there that should just be a quarter note followed by 4 eighths.

Good job anyway though man. Rock on

  • A big dankeschön from Germany! :) nice done with the tabs showing in the video. the speed is perfect.

  • does anyone have the extended version of the solo, that was my farvriote part :l

  • it's the speed that makes it difficult for me

  • Much kudos from the Netherlands! :)

  • Wow thank you alot man, you rock :)

  • I want to learn this song so I can go play it at local guitar stores. That and because Led-Zeppelin rules.

  • @xXXPrinceAlbertXXx don't, people hate it when someone plays stairway to heaven at guitar stores. it's just annoying to hear it every 20 seconds

  • You are a legend of YouTube man! Always great lessons here. I have a lesson for this solo with tabs too. Keep rockin

  • thank you your awsomne bobby

  • testing

  • Hi Bob, I`d like to say a big thank you for all the time and trouble that you`ve gone to, sharing your knowledge and experience. Trying to learn from tabs before the invention of the internet was pretty grim, so to be able to hear, see the tab, and play along is a huge benefit for frustrated learner guitarists everywhere. You`re a star in your own right. Thanks and please continue with the lessons !!!

  • ty =)

  • when i know how to play the song i think that im gonna be in stairway to heaven

  • thanks so much dude, ur an awesome teacher. keep on rockin

  • Is that a Marshall AVT amp? I used to have one of those!

  • Hey we have the same guitar :D Gibson les paul studio?

  • @BobbyCrispy when yu sstringg bend, could you use whammy bar instead???

  • sounds a little out of sync. or its my computer. fuck you youtube haha. great lesson;]

  • jesus christ you just taught me the stairway solo !

  • what amp u use?

  • can you leave a link to the tabs you use pls?

  • way too many flat bends, OUCH

  • wow thanks Bobby! the video was great except for the last riff(riff3) which was really long and it got me confused! just a tip maybe you should have split the last riff into 2? Anyway still this tutorial is awesome.I probably got confused because i am just entering the intermediate stage.

  • 211 peoples dont know what is tabs

  • too fast ..

  • Umm what's your amp setting I can't find the right one to suit it?

  • Umm your a great teacher bro. I really appreciate you for going note for note in this solo . For this I thank you sir:D

  • id donate if i was old enough....only 14

  • real rockers dont sit down!

  • Is this playable on acoustic guitar?

  • @Assassinator96 you could i guess

  • thanks i learned a few things here

  • What an amazing name...man, I smile every time. You're such a reliable teacher :)

  • got the second riff learned in 2 minutes on acoustic guitar :D

  • @sealz18 ok thanks Debbie Downer!

  • @BobbyCrispy

The lesson is edcuational and now I can play this song. Thanks man.

  • @sealz18 If you are a beginner than start off with more simple things. If you haven't already learnt the A minor pentatonic, than do it because the solo runs through it quite a bit. Memorize the solo, and then practice slow, speed up with time until you can do it at the right speed. Practice practice practice dude. Bobby is a good teacher, you just have to be attentive with your eyes and ears, which can be hard if you are a beginner who relies on tabs.

  • @sealz18

Weird because BobbyCrispy taught me this song with this lesson ( all 3 videos). Maybe you need to try something a little easier before you learn this one because it's pretty basic.

  • @sealz18 are you kidding? youre just a bad student

  • @ZZbottom230 are you kidding you just dont understand opinions prick im not tthe best guitarist ever but im good and in my opinion i would have liked it slower and speaking! thats the way i learn so dont be a prick

  • @sealz18 what ever, im not a prick, and bobbycrispy isnt a bad teacher, i learn good stuff from his vids

  • @ZZbottom230 dont make shit up cos i didnt say he was bad teacher i said i found it hard to stay with

  • Bobby, will you ever do 'Cryin in the Rain' from Skyes 85' live solo? I cannot find the tab to this amazing solo, and it's driving me crazy, since there is so much double tapping going on, and it's impossible to pick up exact notes, when this occurs. Thanks.

  • the key to nailing this solo is to play it cleanly and slow over and over(don't go all add like with it..lol, it will sound like a mess), until you know each part, by heart. Then speed up each part, until you add more speed to it, making sure it still sounds fluid and clean.

It just takes practice, over and over, and finially it will just come natural to you.

Also, take each part one at a time, adding to the solo, piece by pice, until you finally got it down. Practice over and over.

  • How many years of playing does this take to be able to play this good?

  • i wanna play guitar but my mom wants me to do not.... to bad....

  • brilliant

  • Thats what i leanerd with you watch?v=b4ZGRjgN8sE, thanks hope yo watch

  • Do you recommend some scales by which I could practice ...... for this solo...... ?..... by the way good lesson ;)

  • @dgttm74 pentatonic scale

  • @dgttm74 This guitar solo is based on the minor pentatonic scale (in A minor), with the occasional appearance of the "F" note. Just type "minor pentatonic scale" in the search field, and you'll see quite a few tutorials on this.

  • @royalblue0505 ok thanks

  • nice guitar and great playing ty.

  • what effects/pedals do u use for the solo?

  • 195 people need to kill themselves. This video is great and so is bobby

  • 666.000 views... thats not a bloody heaven

  • dude, how did you get that "backin track"? did you buy some program that does that? how did you get it? please help me! and... YOU ROCK!

  • This is the best tutorial I have seen on this song, VERY easy to follow and hey once you catch the pattern you can try to play it just like Jimmy Page. Thanks man!!! Relly enjoyed it.

  • What type of guitar is that!>?

  • @Simsy51 It's a Gibson Les Paul Studio ;)

  • Please Bobby i need to know the secret of how to play guitar really fast

  • Thanks for this, Bobby. You the man! What's the gauge of your strings? .009?

  • in the beginning, he's just walking down the blues pentatonic scale with the additional note on the A string at the end.

  • how can anyone dislike free guitar lessons?

  • @0plmkoijn0 Because they can't play guitar haha

    this guy is good too

i learned some things from this guy

  • @0plmkoijn0 cause thats not accurate at all

  • @MrReviewsHD Try to do better if you can.. its a great lesson mtf..

  • @dedecao123

im not telling its bad its just not accurate dumbass

  • @MrReviewsHD People dislike cus they'r bad and can't learn from this video.. this is the best lesson to this muisic i've found here.. =)

  • @dedecao123

why the hell you thing is the best lesson you found here

im playing acoustic and i know this solo hopefully getting my jackson in next week

    this is just not correct

people dislike because its just not correct

  • @MrReviewsHD what do you mean?

  • @0plmkoijn0

Hes not playing the solo well

there is missed notes and notes that not right

ican see it even without listening to it

  • Comment removed

  • @0plmkoijn0 coz they didnt know about free lessons..n they already paid money somewhere..hahaha:)

  • @0plmkoijn0 If they are wrong, or are teaching you poor techniques that are incredibly difficult to un-learn, free lessons could be disliked in many scenarios. Fortunately, in this video there isn't really anything bad about it, apart from the solo being pretty inaccurate.

  • @donphonica @MrReviewsHD yeah but i would only dislike it if i was paying anything for it...other than that i wont like or dislike...plus you can do what i did and make a couple small changes so its right.......

  • why the 99% of how to play videos are played by kids?

  • what tuning?

  • @downrightwild standard (EADGBe)

  • Thank You for this lesson :)

  • is playing the solo way out of tempo part of the lesson or...too fast for the licks need to slow down

  • nice

  • love your voice

  • hey bobby, i know how to play this solo literally by heart, but is there any tricks i can use so i can speed the solo up. i can play it, but like really slowly. do u have any tips for solos that could help me. thanks man, and awesome video ! greetings from spain!

  • @GuitarAfroDude Hey, i'm not as good as bobby (I'm learning the solo right now too) but i made the experience that practice is the key to it all.If you already have the feeling just literally practice it for about a 100 times or so and you'll see how much faster you get. I always do that while watching TV- I unplug my guitar and i play it (bit by bit) over and over and over again. I know thats not what you wanted to hear but trust me - its not gonna work any other way. I hope that helps.

  • @Corpsegrinder1712 thanks man, that really helps.

  • HEY! CRISPY! I LOVE YOU, BRA! Loved your lesson on While My Guitar Gently Weeps solo and a few others...don't waste your time explaining yourself to these tools. Just keep 'em coming!

  • @mooshpomak I just got Ernie Ball Regular Slinky Strings. A bit tougher but doesn't get the sound like before (Super Slinky). Try different strings and these are definitely going to hold. Keep on Rocking!

  • i agree with allrockiscool and fullspectrum. this guy is taking some of his own time to teach us how to play an amazing song so show some respect and common decency to not leave a bad comment on someone whos only tryin to help and in my opinion he is helping alot!

  • I wonder if guitar lessons can be 97% free...?

  • to anyone trying to learn this song...

i wanna say that it helps out a lot when you barre the 5th fret during the first lick of the solo. bobby is doing it in the video, but it might not be obvious to someone watching this for the first time. peace & love :)

  • the tabs are different a little tab messup
