  • Im a chef as well as I have to say that this was a awesome rendition to paella, I remember as a child paella being an all day thing when my family cooked it! ...ill be making this tonight with my family. ty chef todd!

  • You have a great voice and personality. Love this recipe

  • I think that by and large, if you're teaching a recipe this is a good format. But if you're teaching a cooking technique, the traditional slower talking videos are better. I think both formats have potential, and you should use each according to their individual merits.

  • I too have been there from the early days. I cherish hearing your comments and even the humor. Any chance we can revert these 3 clips so that we can get the 'full meal deal' and glean from your wisdom? Thanks Todd again for what you do.

  • Chef Todd, I've been following you for a long time now and I love your videos and admire your unique style in it. I LOVE your voice in the vids, that's what makes them interesting and funny to me! So, I'm sorry, but I'll have to say 'NO, NO, NO' to this experiment. I agree with Guitarfool5931 that a mix of talking and music would be a better balance perhaps. :)

  • Thank you, everyone for the fair comments about this experiment. I sincerely appreciate nobody personally attacking me for trying something new.

I take the negatives equally with the positives and want to supply information that everyone finds helpful. I guess this ain't it.

  • It's not a new format, it's a quick experiment.

And, the voting has been about 50/50 so far.

This is the last Food iPod episode for a while.

  • The new format is a resounding failure.

  • im slightly confused, the rice is precoocked already right?

  • @sensangsun - It's RAW rice in the Seafood Paella. The idea of the one dish dinner is that the rice absorbs the liquid of the stock, tomatoes, and other ingredients and cooks at the same time.

  • @ChefToddMohr thank you for responding

  • Yes to Chef Todd - NO to the music - I'm moving to the other chef's I subscribe to.

Did I say NO to the music....

  • I like the recipe but the format is terrible.

  • Chef Todd. Maybe you can do something where you balance yourself talking AND the music you like somewhere in the background. I do like the way you explain things when you do talk on the videos. If you need someone to mix sounds for you drop me a line. I have a pro tools rig at my house and would gladly do it for you. Keep up the good work! :)

  • you should lay off those visual affects

  • eh ur meats are already cooked. like the shrimp im not a fan of that.

  • The music does not have nearly the draw and energy Chef Todd's words did.

  • that looks delicious! thanks chef!

  • A man after my own heart. Sausage is one of my favorite vegetables too!

  • alright... don't like the new format of music and food... prefer to hear Chef Todd
