I went to see Jim at the Institute, Birmingham. Lindisfarne was probably my highlight just because of how it has a completely different dimension live, far more haunting and emotive. I really didn't know what to expect before the gig, but it turned out to be one of the most amazing live experiences I've had.

let's face it its only good when it breaks into actual music. The whole robotic voice is just the first step to an actual robot bringing out a a song.
@TheBigGiantJobby1 I disagree, I love that whole section, and a lot more so than the album version, it's really well composed, and then when the rest of the band joins in it's the icing on the cake.
Completely Absolutely 100% Brilliant. Someone who finally uses the elements of electronic music in the perfect emotional experimental way it deserves. I have much respect for this man.
@TheBzg07 There's so much more soul when you're with your band, behind the instrument that describes you... it's all separate in the studio. You sing, THEN you put the vocoder with it, you play individually... Considering his digital sound, his method is analogue in a great way, which is what I think gives him that JAMES BLAKE sound. I feel as though this video is about a million views short of what it should have....
hes so good at singing it sounds as if theres a whole choir, and he manages to make reverb with his voice. FUUUU
