Insane performance, Stochelo is just such a damn smooth performer even with a rediculously demanding piece and tempo as this one. He just doesn't fuck up.
ah.. i think their as good each other. I think Stochelo has done alot for the polularity of this music. He has taken so many styles and songs into the gyosyjazz genre.
This group is absolutely amazing! Tight, fast and flavorful. What Stochelo is doing at 1:04 is insanely hard!! (especially for how long he plays the lick) God bless the group and all who listen to them.
hey everyone, í'm roy de rijke i'm 13 years old.I played with my father and teacher the gypsi swing and it is a big dream to good as the rosenberg trio. look to my video press roy de rijke to youtube kind regards roy, and please leave a comment :)
This is one totally awesome video -- this particular Reinhardt composition doesn't get done that often, for obvious reasons, and these guys do it up right. Django heard the rhythm of the future -- and I think he got it right.
Django created "gypsy jazz". Gypsy because he was gypsy and played this music, and jazz because he introduced in gypsy music jazz instruments and many others things from jazz. That's why he played with sax, clarinet, piano players...
And of course, he couldn't play both clarinet and guitar, no one can (especially him, because he lost some left hand fingers...)
wow axelsenzon are you actually an idiot? Can you speak french? Can you speazk another language, even? He's probably better at english than you are at making friends, judging by the way you behave on youtube. Congratulations with that personality. By the way: "people are racist a person is a bigot." WTF? Is that a grammatically or structurally correct sentence?
apparently not, that sentence is intelligible. I guess that metaphorically walking into a room and calling people retarded constitutes good vernacular to some, but to others its still rude.
Ken, ani me'daber ivrit, kitzat. mitumatam echad.
Okenki des ka, atama ga warui.
Fhoot ami koor lil'muti, aravi ekhad.
those are three i'm okay at, cant say i speak french though.
I have to agree that i now see the real meaning of your sentence, i read it quickly and misunderstood the meaning. And i have to congratulate you with your (probably) good control of those languages. 'Walking' into a room and insulting someone you think is acting rude may not be very polite but insulting a nation consisting of 64,102,140 people is not very nice either, especially resorting to calling them frogs after losing an argument.
I mean why do all these youtube-comments end up in fights over extremely petty things? such a shame, btw don't you LOVE that video on the top of that page?! =P
"Hubert Rostaing will always be remembered as Stephane Grappelli's successor with Django Reinhardt's Quintet of the Hot Club of France"
"He might be best known for playing clarinet or saxophone in Django Reinhardt's quintet. His most known performance in that role might be his playing clarinet on Nuages. He later led a band, but after 1962 left jazz for film composing and classical music. He was orchestrator, conductor, or arranger for over 20 French films".
I've never heard the Reinhardt original but have seen tabs marking that freakishly fast part as played by oboe. This seemed unusual as I thought it was more likely to be played on clarinet. I assumed somebody had mistaken the clarinet for an oboe but I see guitarjjte has above refered to it as an oboe part. Can anyone confirm for me whether it was originally played on oboe?

Never give up! They too had to practice, practice, practice......

And his guitar has 19 frets I think. (a bit late :) )

how could this song possibly be for clarinet when Django is accredited for writing it- Reinhardt did non play a clarinet

Clarinet was played on the original version by Hubert Rostaing.
