  • 3 people have no clue..!

  • love the rhythm guitar in this song, especially 0:51 - 1:11 nous'che is awesome

  • Can tell u, impossible for the tuba.

  • Comment removed

  • aaaaaaaawwwwwwaaaoooo!!! double rainbow!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rosenberg got the coolest smirk in the world while he is playing :|

  • @MsMarc1234 which one?

    they're all Rosenbergs...

  • @MegaDutchdude Stochelo

  • Somehow i can't help thinking, Django would have had something to do with the psychedelic era had he stayed alive???

  • I just broke the ceiling....with my head

  • oops, i just woke the wife up! more plzzz

  • mooi

  • Didn't Django only have 2 working fingers? Amazing performance by any standard of digits available.

  • This is just scary.......:) I don't know whether to be inspired or just give up.

  • @daveb143 If one of them had ever given up we would´t have been able to enjoy this now. ;-)

Never give up! They too had to practice, practice, practice......

    * looks at the six-string in his lap and goes back to his own practice, once more inspired *

  • i saw them live at a gospel evening in my town, gipsy + jazz and gospel

    that was interesting!

  • Jesus was a Sinti.

  • Insane performance, Stochelo is just such a damn smooth performer even with a rediculously demanding piece and tempo as this one. He just doesn't fuck up.

  • was this video accelerated? :)

  • Stochelo is flawless, got to be one of the best guitar players ever.

  • my favourite guitar video on youtube. superb.

  • Its more psychedelic than a lot of psycho/postrock/progrock bands :O

  • one of the best performances i've ever heard..truly remarkable.django would've been proud

  • The one tune that proves how far ahead Django was in his time. Just imagine him ripping those solo's ala double finger.

  • ah.. i think their as good each other. I think Stochelo has done alot for the polularity of this music. He has taken so many styles and songs into the gyosyjazz genre.

  • .. but u have to admit that Jimmy emulates Stochelo´s style a lot.. And Stochelo has a better tone and a sound itself than Jimmy..

But it is uncomparable, both are amazing guitarists..

  • Jimmy plays sloppy compaired to Stochelo.

  • wow... this rosenbergs... are devils...

  • WOW!

  • stochelo !! comment il fait ?? :o

  • stochelo rosenberg le django des temps moderne

  • Incredible!

  • hahaha tritone

  • This group is absolutely amazing! Tight, fast and flavorful. What Stochelo is doing at 1:04 is insanely hard!! (especially for how long he plays the lick) God bless the group and all who listen to them.

  • django was a genius, what a tune!!!

  • Great.

  • i like the bass very much.

  • De la folie pure!Bravo!

  • Amazing... And I'll probably see them this summer at Jazz in Marciac... So good !

  • INCREDIBLE. These guys are tight and full of passion! Merci beaucoup ~

  • WOW !

  • lol, look at Nousche's smile at 00:49

  • Simply unbelievable.

  • this kix ass! absolutely amazing!

such a great portion of energy!

  • yeah GNAR GNAR!!

  • no he`s a humanoid-cyborg and he is gonna takeover this pesky little muarrrghh!!

  • *uck!

  • freaking gnar gnar.

  • he's not human

  • Just Fantastic these Guys!!! Amazing. What a Talent!! Respect..........

  • great original piece and a great performance!!!

    totally awesome.

this is a joy of music!

  • This is one totally awesome video -- this particular Reinhardt composition doesn't get done that often, for obvious reasons, and these guys do it up right. Django heard the rhythm of the future -- and I think he got it right.

  • on melange ici manouche et psychedelique!!!!

  • holy shit is that possible? and their rhythm it's so solid and unbreakable

  • Retard...

Django created "gypsy jazz". Gypsy because he was gypsy and played this music, and jazz because he introduced in gypsy music jazz instruments and many others things from jazz. That's why he played with sax, clarinet, piano players...

And of course, he couldn't play both clarinet and guitar, no one can (especially him, because he lost some left hand fingers...)

  • "Gypsy because he was gypsy and"

    ?????

  • Oh, c'mon... Read the whole sentence...

  • wow axelsenzon are you actually an idiot? Can you speak french? Can you speazk another language, even? He's probably better at english than you are at making friends, judging by the way you behave on youtube. Congratulations with that personality. By the way: "people are racist a person is a bigot." WTF? Is that a grammatically or structurally correct sentence?

  • apparently not, that sentence is intelligible. I guess that metaphorically walking into a room and calling people retarded constitutes good vernacular to some, but to others its still rude.

Ken, ani me'daber ivrit, kitzat. mitumatam echad.

Okenki des ka, atama ga warui.

Fhoot ami koor lil'muti, aravi ekhad.

those are three i'm okay at, cant say i speak french though.

  • I have to agree that i now see the real meaning of your sentence, i read it quickly and misunderstood the meaning. And i have to congratulate you with your (probably) good control of those languages. 'Walking' into a room and insulting someone you think is acting rude may not be very polite but insulting a nation consisting of 64,102,140 people is not very nice either, especially resorting to calling them frogs after losing an argument.

  • It's not the big thing to speak a language perfectly, the most important thing is to try and be understood.

  • I mean why do all these youtube-comments end up in fights over extremely petty things? such a shame, btw don't you LOVE that video on the top of that page?! =P

  • Original version was for clarinet, but both sound well.

And his guitar has 19 frets I think. (a bit late :) )

  • how could this song possibly be for clarinet when Django is accredited for writing it- Reinhardt did non play a clarinet

  • Lol, stupid, Reinhardt is maybe not alone to play...

Clarinet was played on the original version by Hubert Rostaing.

  • "rienhardt is maybe not alone to play"

I wouldn't be calling people stupid if I couldn't even put together sentences.

Stay in France chicken shit. Haw Haw you guys all look like frogs when you laugh anyway.

  • I'm not a native english, but you understood me... Stupid "racist"

  • in what way do they look like frogs?

  • the French laughing = puffing frogs.

A person cannot be a racist by the way; people are racist a person is a bigot. Common misconception.

  • "Hubert Rostaing will always be remembered as Stephane Grappelli's successor with Django Reinhardt's Quintet of the Hot Club of France"

"He might be best known for playing clarinet or saxophone in Django Reinhardt's quintet. His most known performance in that role might be his playing clarinet on Nuages. He later led a band, but after 1962 left jazz for film composing and classical music. He was orchestrator, conductor, or arranger for over 20 French films".

  • stop using speed hack

  • I've never heard the Reinhardt original but have seen tabs marking that freakishly fast part as played by oboe. This seemed unusual as I thought it was more likely to be played on clarinet. I assumed somebody had mistaken the clarinet for an oboe but I see guitarjjte has above refered to it as an oboe part. Can anyone confirm for me whether it was originally played on oboe?

  • unbelievable, I have seen this 10 times and still get goosebumps evertme this plays, thanks so much for this.

  • stochelo i love ou

  • Jesus Christ!

  • Just incredible! I love the speed he plays the oboe part at! Insane!

  • how many frets does that guitar have?

  • you should buy the DVD "live in Samois"

    You'd like it

  • Is that the same guy who play like that when he was 12?

  • killer improve towards the end. thanks for the upload

  • great musicianship!!! sounds a lot like the simpsons...

  • LOL ... funny comment!

great music by the way, rosenberg trio rules...

  • Django Reinhardt composed ''Rythme Futur '' in the 1940's !!!
