I wish that roller skating was seen as an Olympic sport. I kinda feel like it's the "oh I use to skate for fun as a kid" type of activity...something that people sorta forget about.

@jfluter you're sooo right! i wish it was in the olympics and most people always say i sometimes go for fun or i remember skating like 15 years ago lol. people forget and i wish this sport would get some recognition.....i don't get why they can't air it on t.v!

That's awesome. I'm 14, too but I'm a figure skater. It's awesome that you can do doubles. How long did it take you to start landing them? I just started my double sal but I have'nt landed one yet. :(

yea it took me a yr before i really got them consistent. and don't worry you'll get it with lots of practice and determination :)

That's cool. I've been landing my axel more consistently and it's been about a year and a half since I started those. How often do you skate? I can only afford to skate once a week, if that. :(

wow thats awesome and that sucks that u can only afford to skate once a week. forunately my dad is my coach so i skate everyday! its tiring but worth it in the long run :)

thats, like, a dream come true for me. I wish lessons were cheaper. I applied for a job at the local Kroger so maybe if I can get a job I can skate more and save for a car so I can drive to the rink everyday. I really want to make it to (again, figure skating, not roller) nationals by the time I graduate which I dnt think is too crazy an idea. If I do I know I have a chance at a scholrshp from USFSA. If I placd its pretty much garanteed because I'm in all honors classes and I get straight A's...

I know! Kroger still hasn't emailed me back yet and they opened last week. :*(

But on the flipside I probably landed 15/20 axels the other day. :)
