The 90's were so fukin awsome, Much was still Muchmusic and actually played music videos! and you bands like age of electric, moist, hip..... fuk american music, it's all about canadian rock.... BOOYA!
Y'know...this song is almost exactly how I feel. NO, forget "almost' THIS SONG IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL...The singer is walking around looking at other people and wondering "Just what the fuck IS wrong with them". Am I the only one who feels this way!?
Was this video done in one continuous shot, or were there a couple cleverly hidden cuts? Either way, I love the way this video looks, and sounds. Just great.
@allstarmusicgenius Great news to hear for Todd! We just saw Slash at West Edmonton Mall, and he put on a great show! Stayed in the parking lot for hours singing autographs and taking pictures. Great time with Slash that night.
1993 new years eve at the Live wire in Calgary ...ah fuk i was so pissed...what a great night. Friends came from Regina , and Edmonton. All to see these guys...Fanfukintastic! Never Forget that night...just the year
My buddy is the boxer with long hair giving the beat down to the other guy. Alex Pavnovic was the bassist for a killer Manitoba band called 'Specula Black'. AOE really tore it up in Calgary. You had to see them at 'The North'.
I remember seeing AOE in Toronto at the Gasworks upstairs. The Bassist spat out the biggest wad of spit which hit the ceiling and then he swallowed it as it trickled down! Gross and funny!
i was the amputee in the opening shot... took 3 practice shots and 10 takes... i was fucking tired of hoping down that hall... lost my job because i was late that day. awesome!
if e-taste-makers like pitchfork etc. had been around for this, it would have blown up globally like it did in canada, no?
i mean, you can't make shit taste good, you can't make farts smell divine (except to perverts) but you can highlight non-conformist/semi-conformist brilliance to a malleable/rigid/critical audience that will keep talent in the cred. black, no?
why aoe didn't blow up with this one is a mystery to me
was there a "huge in japan" post-script i'm unaware of?
in the 90's I wanted to move to canada just for the music, either I'm old or a lot of todays music sucks. Nickel back? Sum41? I sure hope good music comes back in style
Nickelback and Sum 41 also being Canadian bands (sorry about that, on behalf of Canada).
But...Broken Social Scene and Arcade Fire are Canadian. That's gotta count for something. New Pornographers, too. Guitarist in Age of Electric is the brother of the New Pornographers' drummer. Nice.
WTF??? WTF is up with this? Only 3 comments on one of the most kick-ass songs of all time. Whoa. World...you be suckin'!!! This vid really sums me up...walking around watchin people fuck things up and act like a bunch of retards...is it any wonder I quit playing in a band and went to law school? Jeezus...anywho, to the guys who did post...total props to you. You are part of an elite division of society who 'get' cool!
Whooaaahh. He's got nicer hair than I do. D:
