it wouldnt let me post all of the instructions.. check this link out for the proper sill flashing method, this is how i do the sills on page 8. i use 30 # astm felt or ice and water as my moisture barrier depending on the location. and I install drainage wrap over the paper after the windows are taped in with grace vycor flash paper. This method works great for wind driven rain and wind over 100 mph. ill make a video of my methods during the construction of the home i am currently building.
A valley builder is a builder who builds inland off the coast.. on the coast if you installed Windows like the video shows you would be out of business after your first window. Even if I was a valley builder I would still follow instructions..that is not a proper installation method by any means..I'm sure if I had a video everyone would say its way over board..but where I build the weather gets insane and when a window fails you need the proper technique to shed the water.
WOW...Im sure this would work if it never rained..and you had almost no money to spend...Dont follow this video..especially if you live in a wet climate..this is how valley builders do it..

I'm pretty sure there were some mistakes (or, at the very least, not best practice techniques) used in this video.

Thanks for the video
Couldn't the sill nail fin flashing have gone OVER the house wrap for shingle effect?

@BikeManDan1
I was thinking the same thing. Any moisture that the flashing gets away from the rough opening would just go under the house wrap.
