  • The announcer sounds like gary busey

  • @nife2gunfight no!! there SPRINTS!!!!!

  • Hes really good, I've seen him run, hes got some skill, a couple more years, He'll be something to watch for. Also Logan Shoehart, 358's

  • there speed cars idiot

  • @nife2gunfite ~ i love it how ur soo quick to call people idiots but then u go and make a fucking retarded comment like uhhh duhhh there speed cars....duh....what the F is a speed car anyways? arent all racecars "speed cars"? think twice before u start downing on people next time!!!

  • which car was he, the first flip was a tommy tip, the one that hit the atv was bad

  • Great Video, glad he was alright. I went and saw the races at Manzanita about 4 years ago, but we were kinda dissapointed to see the 1/4 mile instead of the 1/2mile. When my dad was a kid it was all 1/2mile. 13 year old Chad Boat won the midget A-main that night that we went.

  • Yes, Derek races weekly at both Willams Grove and Lincoln in the 410 division. This is his rookie year.

  • Sorry, but sprint cars generate so many G-forces when they roll because of how much they weigh, compared to say a midget or mini sprint. A fourteen year old's body can be really beaten up by a flip like this. Consider Derek lucky. Put the kid in a midget until he's got more body and muscle mass. Safety, people, safety.

  • @kinshasaAPP He's also real lucky that he didn't hit that telephone pole, would've been a real sudden stop.

  • @kinshasaAPP well, wrecks have more of an impact on heavier people more so than smaller lighter people. Its good to be a 'small" driver in a situation like this than being a big bulky driver.Even though any size person can be seriously injured in a wreck like this.

  • @DavidW2340 Good points

  • is this the same derek sell that drives the # 20 in PA

  • @steamindemon987

Yes it is. He moved to PA in 2008.

  • @sellracing Thank You!

  • @sellracing

Does he race anywhere in southcentral PA?

Like Lincoln Speedway, or Trailways speedway by chance.?

  • i realy think they need to put a age limit on sprintcars, 14 is way to young. not even old enough to drive a road car but they think its ok for them to drive a 800+hp racecar.

  • Its Still Safer Than Driving on the street with YOU!

D.O.T. stats still prove more people die on our streets than on a Race track. Think About it.

  • uhm no? he actually won first in A LOT of his races and probably a better driver then you....but this happened cause some other chick hit him during the turn, thats what he told me.

  • @myrx2 not really cause where i race you can run a 800hp car at 14. but you have to have 2 years of prior racing experiance and you have to send in a letter to the board of directors and insurance company to make sure you can race. I'm 15 and will be driving a Dirt Grand National in the 2010 season. but i do understand were your comming from cause i've seen guys who've been racing for 10 years and still cant drive.

  • HE WAS IN THE BACK!

  • yo derek when u going to get some clips from lincolns races? u should have that last lap of the race with bower.

  • omg ur golf cart can flip !!! stalker :)

  • only 14 year olds who s daddy's buy them things, race cars at that age. I dont know very many 14 year olds with 15 to 20grand to start racing. Wish my dad was rich.

  • Comment removed

  • Actually I bought a frame when I was 14 and it took me 5 years of hard work to get the money to put one together to even start. Unfortunately I could only ever afford to blow up one motor a year which ment I was usually done in july. Im sure this 14 year olds daddy paid the thousands to have his kid back on the track the next week after the wreck. Not a hater its just the truth in this sport..rich parents +better equipment= success in racing

  • actually a motor alone costs 40+ grand, so id get your facts straight before you go rantin about thrashin on people postin videos on youtube. if you dont like the video, dont watch it. its as simple as that.

  • actually sammy, i do have my facts right. good motors do cost 40k. i know ours do (xemco racing). we get our motors from rider racing engines in mechanicsburg, PA. how do i know this? i actually work on the xemco racing 410 sprint car. in 2007, we had 3 brand new motors and 40k a piece. and our motors are just as good as schatz's, if not better.

  • @sammywright1 wrong big time. Try about 45K for a competitive Don Ott here in PA,

  • Just to make this clear, Derek Sell runs a 360 non wing.

  • I know 14 yr olds who run Late modles and really kick some ass. Just because hes young doesnt mean hes not good.

How do you know that thats his car, could be driving it for somebody... JMO

  • I wish here in australia they would let 14Y/O race sprint cars.

    Sob...

  • wrong 14 year olds make great drivers its a good age range to be in to begin a career

  • what would u know

  • that looked pretty intense

  • Dayum derek take a hit its Josh =P

  • i was there!

  • wow... derek. its tyler :P. im really glad ur alright,
