Im guessing this bulgarian because nina dobrev is bulgarian and knows how to speak bulgarian. Unless she had to learn her lines with a diffrent language.
Very sad, but well-made movie. Takes place in Poland during World War 2. His sister (nina) and parents are are killed during a Nazi raid, he escapes but is haunted by memories of her (nina). The story continues and we see how he struggles with life afterwards and his inability to let his sister (nina) go. Movie is based on a book by Anne Michaels.
I guess it's really Yiddish because 1. I can understand her and 2. I assume the polish people have there own words for potatos and fish and cheese but she says "kartoffeln mit fisch" and "Käs" ;)

@CantFightTheMusic She's bulgarian. And how on earth would that be ukranian..? It's Yiddish, an old german language from around the 18th century.
