  • The original was not Jerry Lee Lewis, but Sticks McGhee. I think it was Atlantic Records first hit in 1947. Sitck was Brownie McGhees brother.

  • @TORGHOOVER The first rockabilly version wasn't jerry lee either. It was done by the Johnny Burnette Rock N Roll Trio. That version smokes, those cats were WILD back in their day, the 'punk rock' of their time with their antics.
