i saw their dancing in tokyo when they came for the performances! i remember japanese boys screamed "sooo cuuute!!" about the girls' dancing. Siberians always look familiar and exotic both at the same time, for the asian people. love to visit there one day..
pure intoxicating noises.... like modern music but in its purest, rawest most primiive form.. As an Asian I'm proud these ppl are related to me..reading the comments no one mentions it but ya'll won't escape from truth!;)
Hello from Canada-I am of Inuit/Scottish ancestry..I have a question, what language do the siberians speak? Anyone have a vid with verbal communication? I have heard Inuit of Canada and Russia have the same language, but different dialects so I would love to hear any vids of siberians speaking their native tongue.
There are Yupik speakers in Chukotka, but not very many. They speak the same variety of Yupik as that spoken on St. Lawrance Island. This language is very different from Canadian Inuit, although you might be able to follow most of what is being said if you know Inuktituk.
Most Siberians are fluent in Russian, just as most North Americans are fluent in English. The dominant language is unavoidable. I am pretty sure the dance group in this vid is Nulgur, which are mostly Even people. Even (aka Eveny) is a Tungusic language, not Chukotko-Kamchatkan. They are doing some Koryak and Itelmen dances, too.
Amazing...see more people need to expolore the remaining cultures in our world. We can always learn from those who are different from us. Some people dont even realize they exsist.
they're not "might" they are. most of the natives in russia are ethnicly close to the people in north west territories(inuit-nunavud etc) Russian native can understand what inuits are saying. but cant speak.
