Then, on top of all that, the Soviets traveled back in time to alter history so they could have an easier time launching their unjust campaign of destruction, but once again were stopped by the allied American and European forces.

Also, if you listened to the trailers for RA3, it points out that the Soviets are the aggressors, and considering their plans to install a global communist state, it's quite clear that the USSR again started the war.

It's completely illogical to believe Albert Einstein's disappearance would change the Soviet mindset. One lone guy vanishing from existence, especially one who held no influence over USSR doctrine, would have no impact on their policies. The Soviets still held onto their global communist state beliefs. Though not explicitly stated, they most likely began the war.

But none still know. Anyway, USSR did not have anything to do with the RA 1 (But yes they started the war there). The only sign of starting the war is in pure RA story is RA2.

The Soviet campaign in Red Alert begins with Stalin ordering Sarin gas and commencing the invasion into Poland and Germany. There's no way you can possibly say the Soviets didn't begin the war. On top of that, ruling out Red Alert is a completely asinine idea. Yes Kane is in it and references to the Tiberium Wars saga are made, but that doesn't mean it isn't part of the Red Alert timeline,

Ignoring that Red Alert 1 ever took place is like me saying that Star Wars Episodes 1 and 2 never took place because there was no Death Star or Darth Vader. It counts, whether you like it or not.

@SovietLenin1 Germany lost two world wars, yet the name of the country is still Germany. There’s no written rule that says a country has to change its name if they lose a war.

As for the links to Tiberium Wars, most people (including the developers), generally treat Red Alert as non-canon to the Tiberium saga. The few connections they put in Red Alert 1 really didn't make sense, and since the developers couldn't fit the stories together well they cut the whole concept.

A trailer to Red Alert 3 (which gives the backstory) calls the Soviets the aggressors, and as I've already explained in previous comments Albert Einstein going back in time wouldn't change the Soviets violent expansionist policies.

Also, the fact that the Allies are the only faction in the game that doesn't want to conquer the world shows they had no reason to begin a war.

It's debatable, but the Allies were powerful enough to be able to take the city of Tokyo (and consequently stop Japan's entire military) without the help of the USSR, who abandoned the Allies. Also considering that the Allies had already pushed the Soviets out of France and Germany and back to their own borders, along with the Soviets already poor track record, the Allies would probably still have won even without Japan's interference.

@anotherinternetter I didn't get this picture off of the internet, I simply took a screenshot when I won a mission (or lost on purpose). To get this picture I started the mission where the Soviets trick the Allies into brokering a peace treaty but I attacked the Allied emissary right away instead of waiting for them to give the signal.
