I have the great honor of being born on July 12th, and when I was a wee lad in Belfast 40+ years ago, my family took me to Orangefest for the Twelveth. We followed the parade route from our place on Bellevue above, told me that the parade was a birthday celebration just for me. Because my favorite colour was orange, I believed him! I went last month on holiday,but the route had been diverted a little to avoid the Romans that have swarmed into North Belfast. Shankill is now infested with vermin.
wow i remember the 12th of July being like that when i was little! i mean obviously not like that cause im only 16 but there was that many people back then now theres not that many bands that march in Liverpool (theres about 10 used to be about 40 i think) and not as many followers either ALOT of people just use it as an excuse to get drunk, dont get me wrong theres nothing wrong with getting drunk on the day but you gotta enjoy the bands aswel ive never missed a 12 of july since i was born :D
@susansmith44 haha i used to march in the bands when i was a kid with a mini plastic drum haha! then i got older and just watched them, i really wish they were as big as they used to be!
