you know, bonnaroo was my first concert experience. i never really understood why people get so excited for concerts.

until i saw these guys.

god it was amazing. it was one of those feelings that you can never replicate again. i can't describe it.

It was a completely different atmosphere at the Lips show than the rest of Bonnaroo. I loved it. I don't think it was completely from the mushrooms.

i went and checked out galactic. the music under that tent was much more delicious than at which stage. FLips is just one big confetti laser prop costume fest. i've seen them twice and i don't take them seriously as musicians. Ween entertained the pants off 1000 people using only a fog machine, and their instruments. bells and whistles are for people who like bells and whistles. Among all the great musicians at bonnaroo, flaming lips were definitely something different.

I checked it out while tripping the fuck out. It was kind of crazy, but I went and saw Gov't Mule instead and they rocked the fuck out. Tool was more my cup of tea as well.

i have to say, im glad i didnt leave for girl talk. this performance was life changing. what made us stay was a guy at the last minute, he stopped in front of me and gave me and my friend a lazer pointer. 20minutes later, the music started and we were trippin our faces off... i was in a state of love, i wanted to make love to the people next to me. i thank the guy that made me not leave for girl talk.

Hell yeah! I got the rainbow stuff too. From a wookie-looking guy with a Grateful Dead necklace. I started peaking when the Lips played The Observer.. wonderful. There's an amazing feeling you get from these guys that very few musicians can give you.. kinda reminds me of Brian Wilson's later work with the Beach Boys.
