    Haux!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful music Bernie, thank you for your gift to humankind

  • Beautiful!

  • Beautiful! PEACE for ALL!!

  • angelicalmessenger, actually Hunter could not convey things correctly.Using bad language here is not required.

Gayathri Mantra for everybody. But,keep in mind, this Mantra kept most sacred by Hindus.Everybody can chant this mantra to get benefits from this amply taking care of the sanctity associate with this mantra.

One can realize the complete benefit from this mantra by keeping him/her pure externally and internally besides for immense benefits it is better pure Vagan and follower of Ahimsa.

  • Om bhuh Om bhuvah Om svaha Om mahah Om janah Om tapah Om satyam Om tat savitur varenyam Bhargo devasya dhimahee dhiyo yo nah pracodayat....om apo jyotia raso mrtam brahma bhur bhuvah svar Om

  • The best video i've ever seen on youtube. So splendid Bernie, thank you so much. God Bless you

  • Great .They people singing in such a lovely way that i too feel to join them. Thanks

  • The beauty and sincerity of this group's praise is moving and inspiring. Thank you for sharing their light.

  • I am a Hindu and I have been initiated and baptized(for the search of a better word) in this mantra when I was eight years old it has been the part of my my life since then and I am very impressed by this effort of bathing one's soul in the fountain of compassion that generates from the Universal Mother's heart. Keep it up and spread this to the uttermost parts of the earth.

    Hare Krishna,

  • sri vishnu gave this mantra to lord brahma at the begining of creation of the material universe please see srimad bagavat purana of srila acbswami prabhupada ,beautiful and full of mercy ,congratulations from tepoztlan mexico I embrace you all OMTATSAT

  • It's a PRAYER -- people ! And it can go on and on and on. I don't think the One G-d minds too much that the meter or pronounciation isn't quite right -- mine doesn't anyway! It loses no power at all, except to You maybe. You're missing the spirit. This mantra surfaces on it's own when I need it the most , and my daughter also--more evidence of power. And I'm Pagan, so why do you think of established religions? You did this all just for me, you say? Best gift EVER !!! Thank you so much!

  • This is so cool I could cry! So sorry I missed it -- can we do it again (here)?

  • oh...don't worry,,,just think of it,

    as dedicated to you...

    again...again..again!

  • Christian Prayers into a Bollywood Dance ~ ~ ~ that is a terrific idea ~ A.R. Rahman is you are reading this ... please get to work on the Christian Bollywood music !

  • The intention is beautiful, what´s the problem?

  • I as a hindu brahmin find this insulting, if you want to follow the vedic way of life, or be a hindu then do it properly dont add your own western masala to it.

if i turn christian and do the prayers as bollywood dance it would seem outragious to you, similarly if turn islamic and start doing rock and roll style of adhan or azan or namaz, then i will probably be killed.

so pls respect others and do not tailor things to your needs...

hindusim is not a hippy movement

  • I am hindu myself too.but all i know there is not specific way to worship god.all we want devotion to the god.some ppl just go to show off themselves how much they belive in god.main thing is it should come deep from your heart.if we need to give some advice then to our hindu ppl who are forgetting our own culuture and religion.i am admiring these ppl how beutifully and with lots of love and faith they are chanting this great Gayatri mantral.stop critizing this ppl and enjoy.

  • Can u tell me what is correct movement? Hindu spiritualism itself is brought from Sufism. How can u dictate terms? If u r that much worried call all ur Hindus from Christian and Muslim countries and cook up ur own story.

  • @martyrindia you are narrow minded

  • @ramakarji ohh what a broad mind?killing every minorities, dalits and sudra. U know the correct meaning of gayatri mantra? It is full of obscene meaning...

  • @pulipad your an idiot mate call urself a brahmin i am ` too n ive known this mantra since i was 4. ther is nothing wrong with what ther doing. just look at ther peaceful faces while ther doing it, ur the sorta cunt that gives us hindus a bad name it isnt just your mantra u cock u did not create it now fuk off.

  • @ZeJ3wHunter

wow...reading the words of your comment dear

i would be ashamed to call myself a Hindu, yet spit out such venom and hate words as you've written here.

May God Bless you with wisdom dear ♥

  • @angelicalmessenger im sorry i just got really frustrated .

  • Song and dance may be at our hearts. Community and sharing, too. We each need to find our niche.... in this wonderful world.

  • Me gustó,la gente que canta en este video se siente conectada y lo transmiten

  • i just heard this version of gayatri mantra and i must say this is simply great

praising the LORD, singing in His glory in any form is good, it delights me that u have drawn inspiration from this great mantra please keep it up

  • It is beautifull!!!

    Namaste Heike

  • Good one ,

But this will be more effective if this chant " Gayatri Mantra " is doing in this way

    1) Sit down on earth erectly

    2) Grip your both hand together

    3) Close your eyes

    4) Concentrate your mind in God

    5) Speak all Gayatri Mantra all together

I m sure if you chant any Hindu Chant , Bhajan etc that will become more effectiv .

  • When you grip both hands together do you interlace the fingers, or are you do you have your hands palm to palm?

  • Interlace the fingers ! !!!!

One more thing i mention previously ,,,,,,,,

Please remove your shoes from your rooms where you pray !!

    Thanks !!!!

  • God dwell in the hearts and soul of all, let them whom wish to express it, express it in best way they are able too. Shine on.

  • I agree with you, here the mantra is chanted in a western way but it is beautiful and it opens your heart to God

  • oh my god this is so powerfull, i having goose bumps all over, its been a long long time since i have sit in meditation, i feel the heat coming in between my eye brows now, these people must be real honest about what they are doing now, its affecting me this way

  • ha... they are a bunch of oldies... probably going through a therapy session.

  • Om Sai!!!

  • Hard to appreciate this american version of the sacred holy gayatra, I heard it by several gurus in a total different way. In my opinion its a little respectless even when the heart intention may be the right one. Keep this holy mantra, which is one of the oldest in the history of mankind, holy. The Om namah shivaya of Bernie on the other hand is wonderful...

  • dear people, from tepoztlan mex.,peace and love to all ,heal mother earth, please do read Bhagavat Purana or Srimad Bagavatam, swami prabhupada,s is one of a kind book, this book explains the real meaning of gayatry mantra, the first mantra in the begining of material creation peca to mr.bernie and to everyone in amsterdam come to see me in tepoztlan mex. love hare krisha

  • what a warm and beautyfull song. when the women whit glasses blue jeans and a wite shirt see his comment please cotact

  • Gayatri Mantra from Bernie introduced in Bodegraven, Holland ,oure group enjoy it as most wonderfull devine, warm and filled with love when they sing and dance it.

The most of them want to have this mantra each sing and dance treat.

I hope that we can get a lot of people for this mantra because the energy and joy is great.

Thanks Bernie and the person who put it on youtube ofcorse.

Om Shanti Om to all people

  • Thanks

    Aum Babaji

  • We live in a renewing time and learn on every way to bring out all kind of traditions together, we must learn to combine.

Old traditions are not spectacular anymore and so we create all energy together with a more effective way to respect all cultures.

I always say, what is the way to live in peace with eachother, do not only sit on youre own traditional island but reach out and combine, sing and dance.

Im introduce Bernie's mantra in Holland on my own mantra dance and singing group.

  • A person of true faith is fearless. People attacking other's beliefs and worship do so, in truth, out of fear and doubt in themselves and in their faith. The Divine speaks to each of us in a language and form we can understand. I used to argue and attack other's beliefs till, in prayer one day it was revealed that The Divine is greater than our foolish attempts to contain his glory in one story or make him our exclusive property. I pray all who fear will find a way to true faith someday.

  • Hans ..you seem to be very sad.

Look around you and see the perfection of the universe. And just enjoy being a life and take your chance to do something good!

  • Why not just accept the beauty of this song? So much energy to criticize those who make a spiritual effort. Peace to those who choose to Embrace those who make a spiritual effort!

  • People together....."feeling" the sacredness of these ancient words.....sharing....feelgoods.....

I like it. Go Bernie. :) Namaste'

  • I do appreciate the effort, Mantras are about energy release and retention. sound energy is a vital part of mantras. The Veda's are science and art, the power of the mantra said in its original form is more powerful that creating a 'new' way of saying it. However even saying it in a new way full of faith and with meaning is equally powerful. So it works

  • excellent job! hey come now guys, so what if they're not singing it the "correct way." The point is they're trying, at least they're not making a parody or something!

  • excellent job! hey come now guys, so what if they're not singing it the "correct way." The point is they're trying, at least they're not making a parody or something!

  • Guys this is a Vedic Mantra not a church singing group. You need to sing it the prescribed way or beat it!

  • Do you honestly believe The Divine will reject their worship because of the manner they choose to present it? Because of some proscribed formula we created?

  • No, this is not the issue here. The Gayatri is not just a prayer but a Vedic mantra. Not a song, not a kirtan or a bhajan. For coorect pronounciation of a mantra you have to know the technical details. Like svara, viniyoga etc. In this case there is the touch with the mantra which is in cidakasha.

  • Hmmmm... The words are a bit off.

And, correct me if I'm wrong, but when performing a mantra like Gaayatri, is it not customary to use the three 'sacred tones' (tonic, flatted 2nd, & flat 7th), and ONLY those three tones? Regardless, the mantra's in a minor key & you're playing major chords. Help him, Jeebus.

  • No mockery intended by Bernie, however we note, and respect your opinion. jai MA !

  • This is a mockery of such a great mantra. The intention is right but the method is completely wrong. Please get hold of a learned guru or a person well versed in the vedas.

  • For these people it would be better to chant some kind of jay shree raam or another kind of kirtan. This is an improper use of Gayatri.

  • I agree. They need to sing it the correct way or not sing it at all. This is not a bhajan! Vedas need to be chanted a certain way.

  • This is not the correct way to chant the Gayatri mantra. Such a powerful mantra can have adverse effects if not chanted according to the vedas. The sound of the mantra is more important than the meaning, even though the mantra has a lofty meaning.

Please dont sing the gayatri mantra.

The version of the gayatri mantra in the above video, where OM precedes every word, is only used for meditation.

  • I think it's a very nice version of the mantra.

  • if i had no previous understanding

    of the 'Gayatri' mantra.

my eyes, ears, heart, and spirit,

    would simply hear and see

a tribute to, peace, beauty, and oneness..

love is simple that way i think! :)

  • not if you`re a religious fanatic ;)

  • good to see some open hearted discussion

on the values of tradition and the values

    of the interspiritual way..

may everyone find deep peace in

their quest for the highest truth

and be joined and humbled by all

    other sincerely seeking.

  • WOW! i never knew so many white people practiced Hinduism

  • Thanks to Bernie Heideman for this wonderfull singing and inner devotion.

You can feel it in every fiber of your body.

In this time where we live in we must take care for oure planet and oure humanity.

And it is no problem that you sing with the spirit of many cultures its a coming together in spirit, and believe in your self and all the people on this world so can peace come in oure hart and send it out to the planet.

    Go for it!!

A mantra singer from the Netherlands

  • Well if one follows the book it always helps but its not the only way, one should meditate the way he feels good and in what ever way it touches his soul, if somebody feels this rythm help them connect to their soul they should follow it.

I am a hindu but i believe it everybody right to parctice the way they want it that freedom is what sets us apart, so i agree totaly that everyone has the right to publis his oen way of singing gayatri mantra

  • hi

    thanks for the posting.

everyone has tight to publish his own right way of singing gayatri mantra.

this is a sacred mantra and shoud be used in the way it is adviced.

it should be sung sitting and not dancing.

the name (title) should have mentioned as gayatri mantra version of ...... so and so.

so atleast people come to know who had this modified it.

  • at last a comment that supports my views.

  • No mockery intended...sorry you think so ~ check out Bernie's website bernieheideman dot com and listen to his soulful music. He is a very spiritual man. ~madzub

  • i didnt say mockery. pls chk my post. every action ie Sadhana(yoga) satsang(bhajans) or seva(service) all are done to reach the samadhi the ultimate bliss. There are ways of singing/praying/meditating. like pronouncing the OM. There are many ways of chanting. With avarohana and otherwise. deep/shallow n short/long each has its own effects. All these are done to tune up your mind n body for that.

test yourself by visiting any of the guruji of Indian origin for that.

  • really lovely video

  • With the Vedic religion or Hinduism...it is perfect. Its methods and principles have lasted thousands of years. It is time tested. You dont have to change it. What you call evolution is really degeration or devolution. You dont have to change the Vedic Religion. Following it to the tee...is real quick evolution. Following it whimsically, in a left-wing, modernist, marxist way like...let just say it will take alot, alot longer...

  • Son hermosos, gracias por esta belleza para el alma :)

  • We are living in a such great moment on this beautiful planet. Every sources of light and positive feelings are flowing from one culture to another...creating a crossing over time of exchange, tolerance, union of divine intentions.

There are surely a very correct way to sing and working precisely with this mantra, but is beautiful to hear people, very normal people trying to lift up their feelings towards same source. Thanks !

  • Ultimately,....I absolutely agree!

  • And, in the preseance of certain kinds of people, it can not be said aloud,it MUST be intoned mentally. If they REALLY study the Vedic scriptures/principles and practise the Hindu religion...they wouldnt be doing this!

  • It is very beautiful how the are singing it in "song" form. If they were really hindu converts...they wouldnt be doing the Gayatri mantra like this...it is speculation and concoction and against Vedic scriptures and principles to be singing it like this...to be SINGING it period! It is to be INTONED with the swargas and the proper chandaha (meter). And, the Gayatri should be given by the father or a guru.

  • goosebumps! the energy is amazing. peace. what a beautiful prayer..... I love the Gayatri Mantra thank you.

  • Muito bom, Música Orgânica na veia!!!

    Ahooo Grande Espírito!!!

    Jaya Ma!!!

    Namaste!

  • These guys are singing it with pure Love. That is what religions teach. So good on you! It doesn't matter how you sing it Ravi!...God appreciates love, not language.

  • Actually, when it comes to Vedic/Hindu Religion...it does matter how you verbalize it. Intoning the mantras in hinduism is a technical science almost. There a certain way of intoning them that effects the mind, conscienceness and the universe...and,intoning mantra with LOVE, on top of the proper, scientific process, gives it even more force. With the Vedic/Hindu religion...God appreciates the proper use of Language.

  • May the Blessing of God rest upon you

May God's peace abide with you

May God's presence illuminate your hearts

    Now and forevermore

    Amen

  • wow, i never knew there's a tons of white people that are buddhist.

  • FYI: These are Hindus not Buddhists. Thank you!

  • These are wanna-be Hindus! If they were really hindu converts...they wouldnt be doing the Gayatri mantra like this...it is speculation and concoction to be singing it like this...to be SINGING it period! It is to be INTONED with the swargas and the proper chandaha (meter). And, the Gayatri should be given by the father or a guru. If they REALLY study and practise the Hindu religion...they wouldnt be doing this!

  • Beautiful!!! Anyone can feel the energy..the excelent energy....it doesnot have to be singed the indian Way...Mantras are for everybody and they como from God. Love it!!! Cantado con Amor y bellisimas energías!! Namaste

  • Do any of you even know the meaning of what you are saying? Do you know where this mantra came from! If its so great sing it in english!!

And damiengonpaster try posting a video of you singing this mantra as in this video, and then you wil see something that is funny!!

  • You missed the point ravi.

  • hey Ravi,

this mantra is not a monopoly of indian born as, in fact, internet is not a monopoly of western born because was developed or born in the west.

  • but, if you take up the Indian religion, please study the principles and practises laid out in the scriptures. What they are doing is speculation and concoction. Mantras must be INTONED with the proper swargas and chandaha(meter) or it is useless. And, be given by the father or a guru. and, should be chanted mentally in the preseance of certain kinds of people. Doing it Vedically correct gives it the real power.

  • How can u pray to God standing, are u superior to Him?

And Im not saying you cant say it in your own way, but understand what it means, the purpose it is said in a certian way in Indian scriptures, from where the mantra originated!!!

  • God does not Stand, he is incorporeal, God does not Prostrate, Kneel, Sit or Stand. How can human beings standing imply superiority to that which transcends all physical attribution?

  • In the Vedic/Hindu religion, it is tradition and a symbolic gesture of humility to God to sit down while intoning mantras and stotras. In the Vedic/Hindu religion, everything you do has meaning and symbolic Spiritually...every thing you do has deep, godly meaning.

  • Jai Sriman Narayana! I absolutely agree! This is PURE western concoction and speculation! They want to do asanas, do a little sadhana, but, at the same time...not follow shastra or sadhus. This what happens when things come to the west...it becomes watered-down. Please read my other postings on this page. There has to be a Hindu monitoring group like the jew have the ADL or Binai Berith, to watch out for this kind of thing.

  • Of course it matters!!! Youre making fun of the way we, who started the mantra, say it!!

  • lol. ravi, you really couldn`t be funnier if you were trying.

  • You are right. This singing is nice but no mantra. They are singing with a strong English accent. Proper pronounciation is important for mantra. Further you have to know the correct svaras. Like in devasya e is anudaatta, first a is udaatta and second a is svarita etc.

You have to know the rishi, chhandas and of course the meaning and purpose of a mantra.

Gayatri has the most effect during sandhyavandandam.

• Thank you very much for sharing this video. I felt a very deep emotion in my heart when I watched it, and have watched it many times since. I deeply enjoy it and feel a beautiful energy from it. God bless you for this spiritual activity. Thank You !! :)

  • who care the way....when the pace its ready...who care?

    NAMASTE....

    INLAKECH

  • Youre making fun of the way we, who started the matra, say it!!!

  • Why dont u guys go to an indian church and learn ther right way of singing this prayer! Sure its a beautiful prayer, but its even better when sang the right way!! Go to an indian church soon please!!

  • they r doing with full devine, thats what matter.

and please donot talk about indian church (hindu temple) its so polluted. greedy priests everywhere.

  • Even though there are corrupt priest...doesnt mean to deviate from the priciples, standards and truths of our ancestors and Religion. The Vedic religion is perfect! Yes, Bhakti matters, but, following the procedures and principles laid out in the Vedas is first and for most. Not following the orginal principles in Shastra and Sadhus lead to modernist, liberal/left-wing,watered-down groups like these people and I.S.K.O.N.

  • the practice of the ancestors is what we should learn and not just worship.

why we do walk upright and on two legs. it was a practice that we are following from our forefathers. i don't advice or preach for the total follower ship of the scriptures as a child try to walk on four legs or try to move your body by dragging first then try to reach the highest of the pinnacle slowly.

what i try to tell you is the pinnacle of glory and truth where you will find solace and eternal happiness.

  • kip. organized religion sometimes values its traditions more than the meaning behind them. remember that hindu orthodoxy pulled the trigger on gandhi.

  • With the vedic/hindu religion, this is NOT the case. Real hindu priests KNOW the deeper meanings behind the stories and rituals...this is what makes a brahmana. With the vedic/hindu religion, every aspect is a Godly, religious science. It is Science put into a religion; to link with God and Awaken to the truth you are a spark of God...period. We value the esoteric/deeper meaning first...then then the traditions.

  • This is a beautiful mantra and a wonderful reciting by Lava Dance Camp. For those of you who are critiquing the way it is recited and analyzing those superficial things, you are forgetting the fact that the mantra no doubt is in the hearts and minds of these people. That is what counts.

Concentrate on the mantra, its purpose, and power, and not trivial rules, or do's and don'ts that are petty.

    Om Sai Ram

  • This the first time I heard a rendition like this. In my opinion it does not make a difference how the mantra is said, whether by chanting or singing to a melody.I have heard many ways of vocalizing the mantra.I would not say that this the best version but I am glad if we can get all the people in the world to recite the mantra at least once.

  • Dear friends,

Check out my "Ong Namo" music video. You'll find it in my youtube profile. Enjoy.

    Many blessings

  • When I look at the world I don't see some 90 people

join hands and work "together" in life as these people do "in the moment". That is blessed in itself.

  • Gray hairs huh, well maybe they were doing their best to sing a part of the Gayatri, the Grayatri Mantra !

    ;-) ~m

  • Hilarious to see these gray hairs. Gayatri Mantra has a very specific way of chant, certainly not this way. After this singing and dancing they would feel energised but not necessarily in a spiritual way. That is the only difference , chanting as per vedic way makes sure your progress is 100 % spiritual and not any other way. Gayatri Mantra in the full form has to start w Om and end with Om. In this video chant they are missing the last part completely.

  • Your celestial voice arrived at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, South America. Beautiful, beautiful. God Bless you!

  • it is great...but the bit different accent....

    gud work

  • Wow!!! this is a beautiful rendition of one of the oldest mantras on earth. Soul stirring Devine Resonance!

  • I love the togetherness, and flow of the group.

    Tks. for sharing..Beautiful:-)))

  • Beautiful song... Very enjoying to look hear such a version of Gayatri Mantra.

  • Same Vedic prayer, but done by a different culture. Nothing wrong with that. Well done.

  • I think the pronunciation is off a bit. I don't mind the singing. Gayatri can be either Hindu or Buddhist. It's the oldest prayer on Earth.

  • But is'nt it a prayer to god? I'm Buddhist, but someone just told me it was a Hindu chant. Thank you.

  • the difference between Hinduism and Buddhism isn't really that big - remember that Buddha was a Hindu who protested against certain injustices in Hinduism. In a sense, Buddhism is to Hinduism what protestantism is to catholicism. Only Hindus and Buddhist are nicer to eachother! (I'm buddhist myself - with an interest in Hinduism)

  • Stay away from that ignorant being?

  • Gayatri mantra originated in Hinduism..in the Vedas...

As far as I know, it's also chanted among the Buddhist...There are only very basic differences between Hinduism and Buddhism...

Buddha was originally Hindu prince, afterall...

  • buddhists have mani amntra

  • Eu gostei muito dessa forma de apresentação do Gayatri Mantra.

    Obrigada por compartilhar

  • Wonderful!

Well done ... Om Tat Sat!

  • that's wonderful for you! This film above has a nice energy; but please do go and watch Vedic chanting. I am happy for your blessing to go to India.

  • This is nice and sweet; however; the Gayatri mantra as a folksong, without the powerful meter and Sanskrit pronunciation (and aspirations) loses much much power.

  • folksongs can be powerful too

  • perhaps. but no comparison to the shakti of Vedic Sanskrit meter and resonance.

  • Everything was prounounced correctly prabhu.but please correct me if im wrong.

  • the pronunciation is okay as one would read transliterated sanskrit with american accent. However, all the precious aspirated sounds are left out; losing the power of this unique mantra. Also: Gayatri's are done with a certain meter; this is folk song-ized. It IS lovely, and I can see people are enjoy the dance, but the mantra-shakti is lost. Now I shall leave you in peace--Namaskar!

  • esto es budismo`hinduismo, sikismo`o q coño es ?

    Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi

    Dhiyo Yonaha Prachodayat

    it means

We contemplate the glory of Light illuminating the three worlds: gross, subtle, and causal.

I am that vivifying power, love, radiant illumination, and divine grace of universal initelligence.

We pray for the divine light to illumine our minds.
